For months now, I've been trying to use different websites from Netflix, Spotify, YouTube, and my Google account and Firefox blocks access to all of them. I always get the error message "The page isn’t redirecting properly. Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies." I've been forced to use Microsoft Edge for many basic websites and it's really frustrating. Please help.

Let's start with cookie settings. What level of Tracking Protection do you normally use? This is set on Settings page, Privacy & Security panel, and has three levels:

  • Standard
  • Strict
  • Custom

Normally, you hardly see any of those redirect issues with Standard or Strict, but if you choose Custom, you have to be careful not to completely block third party cookies because that will break some sites. For reference, see: Third-party cookies and Firefox tracking protection.

Firefox is not allowing me to access online books from my Uni's library. I am being forced to use Chrome!
