Mozilla Firefox crashes alot the past 4-5 day

more options

just like the title says

and yes I tried every one of these fixes provided in this link

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-crashes-closing-or-quitting

only one i didn't use is hardware acceleration because I just wanna use Firefox normally I am not here for anything that lowers the normal performance I am used to and it's not a real fix

Also Firefox is literally the only thing that crashes on my PC, even other browsers I tried such as Chrome and Opera (both versions including GX) were working just fine, both safe mode and clean installation by deleted the folders in AppData and even deleting everything and updating windows and drivers are up to date, and it still crashes regardless.

Going to %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted doesn't show me Submitted folder which I assume it happened cause of the multiple clean reinstallation I did but there is pending and events and idk how to share a dmp file here.

Only reason I am still sticking to Firefox is the fact that it's more private than say Google, Opera and Edge and that's most important to me, and the problem happens to probably any website, maybe mainly media sites like Twitch and Youtube but it may jsut be coincidence or maybe cause I stay on these for longer than 5-10 mins normally so they are more noticeable.

Thanks in advance, I am surprised not many people mentioning these problems on the internet but I did see some Reddit posts i wonder if not many people are being affected or just that there are many other options for people to bother complain nowadays and I don't use social media much to post there but I may have to do it eventually if it reaches anyone who can fix this.

guess I shall add 1 more thing, I uninstalled the browser completely and installed the new beta version (on a different Drive this time but considering what I said above I doubt that matters) and it's working just fine, been an hour with no crashes and yes 1 hour is a long period of time with Twitch/YT side by side not crashing both active or idle.

will update this post with anything and also if anyone knows direct reason feel free to still reply to this post, thanks again.

If you have submitted crash reports, please post the IDs of one or more recent crash reports that start with "bp-".

  • bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

You can find the report ID of recent crash reports on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page.

  • click the "All Crash Reports" button on this page to open the about:crashes page and see all crash reports.

Alternatively you can open about:crashes via the location/address bar.

If a line on the about:crashes page doesn't start with "bp-", you can click this line to submit the crash report. The link will be updated and gets a "bp-" prefix if the report is submitted successfully.

  • please do not add the "bp-" prefix yourself

I believe I have way more but I guess these are the submitted ones, and there are 2 that will always fail instantly to submit.

idk what happened to my post, I misunderstood the don't add "bp-" as in to not confused the non submitted ones and I post them here by adding bp-, so I posted eveything with bp- then edited the post by removing one of them to see if the php format will change but the whole post is gone, is it like automatically gets submitted else where if I remove the bp- or did a mod delete the post cause it might have been me sharing personal infos or something in the bp- links? Thanks in advance.

The crashes are all over. Sometimes this could mean the system is having issues with the RAM.

MemTest Could you please run a tool from http://memtest.org/ in order to check the integrity of your RAM?

You will need a thumb or disk drive to install it on.

Do you let Windows handle the page file or did you set a fixed size ? Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Performance -> Settings

If you use a fixed size for the page file then try the former and let Windows handle the page file. How to determine the appropriate page file size for 64-bit versions of Windows {web link}

My RAM is fine, I am playing high end games on my 32GB and other browsers running fine, and yes I already checked that part letting Windows handle the page size (I believe it's the default anyway), I googled so many solutions before I had to really make an account just to post this here.

While currently BETA Firefox is not having same crashes but it does seem to be getting a different kind of issues like freezing a little sometimes.

I will stick to Firefox BETA and Chrome for now, hoping the next Firefox update will fix something, otherwise I will have to switch to something else.
