Emails will not send,
Windows 7. Using Thunderbird. Windows Firewall which I have tried disabling. I have read through your help page and done the various things you recommend but with no luck. Receive mail no problem. Have tried changing outgoing port from 25 to 587 also. When I try to send I get a variety of failure messages. I have no problem with these settings on Bluebird which is on my phone. I want to use Thunderbird on my laptop though.

I have no settings off the email provider,
This is what you're supposed to obtain. Shouldn't be impossible. Otherwise it's just guessing.
the email and password work fine in BlueMail - just not with Thunderbird
Assuming BlueMail is an email client, please post the server settings used there.

If you followed the instructions you should have determined what the server settings are as per your email provider's instructions. What are those settings anyway?
Have tried changing outgoing port from 25 to 587 also.
Why? Is that what your email provider requires? There is no point trying arbitrary combinations of settings.
When I try to send I get a variety of failure messages.
Care to post the error messages?
Thank you.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks. The website was set up a number of years ago with just one email address, and now we have added another. I have no settings off the email provider, but the email and password work fine in BlueMail - just not with Thunderbird, with the same settings. Your help would be very much appreciated, this is causing me considerable problems. Thanks

What about security? Are there any SSL/TLS or STARTTLS options required? As said before, get the required settings from your email provider.
Thanks Christ.
I am trying to get those settings, but its was something we did years ago, so very difficult to get a reply.
Incoming security - NONE, Authentication PLAIN. Outgoing security - NONE, Authentication AUTOMATIC.

Well, this doesn't have more information wrt the mail setup than you already posted, and apparently it's about 9 years old. Did you consider the possibility that something on the server has changed? Contacting your email/hosting provider for current and up to date information is basically what I had in mind.
Anyway, to compare that information with what's set up in Thunderbird please also post your Troubleshooting Information. At the top right of the Thunderbird window, click the menu button , then select Help > Troubleshooting Information. Press the "Copy text to clipboard button" and paste the information into your reply.
One more thing. I suppose you already realized that posting your password to a public forum is a very bad idea. Even though that won't make it easier getting your email problem resolved, I'd strongly suggest to change the password for your account.
Thanks Christ, The password was blanked. Wasnt it?
It wasn't in your the initial post and hence it wasn't in the notification email.
