Hello,

I have search for a way where I could check if certain mails where received in my mailbox, through standard Thunderbird or with addons, but till now I was unable to find any sort of solution.

Scenario: daily I receive a set of mails with reports from machines, and still having failure warnings in case of something wrong happean, if some machine freezes, I dont have a way to notice that, without having to pay attention religiously every day, increasing the probability of missing some report.

Thanks!

New Messages can be auto filtered to any folder you specify. So you could create a folders called 'Machine A', 'Machine B', 'Machine C' etc

If each machine incoming email had something unique in Body or Subject which was the same each time: for example 'machine A' is mentioned in Subject or Body.

then you could filter eg: body contains 'machine A' then move it to the folder called 'Machine A'.

If you set up only machine folders as 'Favourite' then you can swap to 'Favourite' view to see only those 'Machine' folders. New unread mail will show folder as bold. You will instantly know if you have received a message from a specific machine.

You can use tags on each to show whether you need to work on something or all ok'

I have already a filter setup for those warnings to move, but still can be difficut, since I have several mails from the same machine.

Dividing those mails on folders per machine is a way to help a little, but still the problem persists, I dont have a way to verifiy if all was received, automatically.

At least through thunderbird development this can be done?

Thunderbird is just an email client , it downloads whatever is on server.

Do you have email reports from each machine being sent on a regular basis eg: once per hour and is the time included in the email eg: 14:00 hrs Machine A : all ok. ?

My programs are all scheduled, to start at x time but it will send the report only in the end, so it varies because it depends on the amount of data that is being handle.

If there was a filter at thunderbird or somekind of addon to run at certain time to check if in a certain folder of a mailbox, there was a list of mails from a machine(machine1@mail.com) or with a certain subject, and launch a popup window with the result, that would be awesome.

I think the answer to your question is no, there is not a filter or an add-on. Perhaps you need to write one.
