Thunderbird loses emails
I have two identical gmail accounts configured. But one of them seems to lose all the sub-folders and emails I have and has to resync to get them back everytime I start thunderbird which takes a very long time. This only started a week ago after Windows 10 updated. The other gmail account works normally and everything is there when thunderbird is opened. All settings for the two gmail accounts are identical and I can't find a cause.
I tried to uninstall and reinstall thunderbird several times but that didn't work. Even though I deleted everything I could find associated with thunderbird when reinstalled it still had my gmail accounts configured already which suggests something is holding the details and that something may be at the route of the problem.
Can you help solve this before I ditch Thunderbird completly. Thanks Barry

A standard test is...

Sorry you have had trouble. Please update to 52.2.1 to fix this. It might redownload messages once after the update, but then it should no longer do that.
> This only started a week ago after Windows 10 updated. You were quite patient to endure for that long. I suggest in the future if you have a problem after an update that you report your problems sooner.
Thanks I will give that a try and report back....
Hmmmm... Well having installed 52.2.1 and restarted thunderbird and the PC I still have the same problem. One account is slow to load email and when I click on the email it can take up to 5 minutes for the email to display in the reading pain. The other account is fine. They are both gmail accounts configured identically on gmail and in thunderbird. Any ideas ?
