when I visit any website, the bottom of the page is either not there are all or it looks like a bar code image. This happens with both text and pics. this problem began today 26 Sept and I have refreshed Firefox three times already. I even downloaded a new Firefox from scratch. Any ideas on how to fix this?

This could be a new incompatibility with your graphics card/chipset driver software. Could you try disabling Firefox from using hardware acceleration? Here's how:

"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options

In the left column, click Advanced. On the right side, with the "General" mini-tab active, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available".

This takes effect the next time you exit Firefox and start it up again. Any difference?

Since hardware acceleration improves the appearance of fonts and animations, you may want to check whether graphics card/chipset driver updates are available for your system. This article suggests safe ways to do that: Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL.

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues. You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.

Flash: Grab the uninstaller from here: Uninstall Flash Player | Windows Uninstall Flash Player | Mac

Then reinstall the latest version.

Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.

thanks for the reply but it did not work. I tried the Shift+Reload and that did nothing. the bottom of the page is still gone or distorted into something that looks like an elongated bar code. I also uninstalled Flash and reloaded the latest version. Still the pages do not load.

Any chance the v49 of Firefox is doing this? All was well before this version downloaded.
