cant use "page colours & backgrounds"for multiple pics,must set each pic indivdually

"as above " does not explain the process you are using.
'Format' > 'Page colours & backgrounds' refers to the actual email, it does not refer to an inserted image.
Or are you inserting an image as an overall background to your email?
Please explain what you are doing and what you are trying to achieve. Posting an image may help to clarify your issue.
