I updated Firefox to 38.2.0 today after which when I click on pdf files in google searches, it doesn't download or load the pdf file into the browser. When I change the pdf file preferences to use Adobe Reader or Preview, it still did not work. However, when using Preview, if I point to a pdf file on my computer, it would load the pdf file into Preview. But if I point to a pdf file on the web, nothing happens. I did notice on the lower left bottom edge, some text flashes by very quickly. The first message says: "Waiting for www.google.com ...", the second text flashes by too quickly to read.

When I used Safari, it was able to load the pdf file into Safari right away.

Thanks for help.
