And worse yet, every 10-15 seconds I receive an alert that the connection has timed out. About a year-ish or so ago, our internet provider (Cox) sold our email service to yahoo. Although I managed to get all of the accounts (cox allowed our household 5) entered so that they all *received* mail, only one was able to send mail. The other four could only receive. Also, I could not send mail from either my google/gmail address or my very ancient yahoomail address. But all could at least receive mails. All in thunderbird, Excellent. As of yesterday, only one (a previous cox address) can receive or send mail. I tried sending a test mail to all of the other addresses, and no joy. If I get onto the yahoo main site, I can sign in with password and then must receive a text, phone call or other verification. And, of course, sign out of each, then sign into another, lather, rinse, repeat. Apparently I can also use a "passkey" which appears to be an actual "thing" that I have to plug into a USB port. I don't have one of these and have no idea what it is or how to get one. Since I've been composing this request, I've gotten 6 pop-up notices that the thunderbird server to yahoo has "timed out" - this is pretty annoying! And, there's another one! I am open to suggestions! Thunderbird has been great for getting all the emails in one place. Now, not so much. Help me!

I get the messgae 'Unable to write email to the mailbox...make sure the file system allows you write priviledges and you have enough disk space.' When I looked at the errors Thunderbird recorded I found thei:

I recently had to restore my thunderbird app as I had issues with my laptop. I do not run Avast...I have tried the 'repair' option in folder properties in thunderbird. Nothing seems to help. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me. I have been using Thunderbird for....well it has been aloooong time and I have never had any issues with it previously. I am running WIn 11 Pro.

I find now that Thunderbird requires Earthlink's password each time an email is sent. Earlier it required it once a day. I am on Windows 11 using Earthlink.net for provider.

When I login into Thunderbird, I continue getting the following error message "Login to server imap.comcast.net with username kfn.appraiser@comcast.net failed". I put in correct password and happens again. Mail server is Comcast. Running Windows 11

A few months ago I posted a question on these message boards after losing my ability to receive, send or even review messages/e-mails. For 3 months I was unable to access my e-mail. And I'm not certain hoe they are related, but after a hard drive failure, The only files that could be seen on the hard drive was a file folder labelled Wondershare. I downloaded a Wondershare program (Recoverit) after all my archived messages were wiped from my computer as this was the recommendation from members on the open threads at Mozilla.

While I appreciated the help from the members of this community, Thunderbird has again destroyed my ability to access any e-mails. The Thunderbird program is telling me that the settings that it took me 3 months to finally sort out are no longer operative.

Total garbage, I am not an experienced computer user, and would never have signed up for Thunderbird had I known this platform had no customer support and prone to these sort of failures.

Can anyone help me open my e-mails and move them to a program where I don't have to put up with such nonsense?

I sent an email to my mechanic today and another site attached a CC to their Website. It is weird I didn't send an email to them support@bloominto.co, yet I received a reply and there was a CC to my mechanic in it.

How is it possible?

Hello I am having difficulty in sending message for 2 of my email addresses through Hostinger. My ither accounts through Hostinger works fine. See pic attached for the error message. Please help and advice. Thank you

I have 2 accounts one is thru Outlook.com and one is from my cable provider. When a message comes in from my cable provider if the subject meets one of the filter entries it should mov it to the folder in Outlook via the account I have setup in thunderbird. Sometimes this takes place and it worked like it was supposed to and others it doesn't I find all of the message that should have been forwarded still in the inox of the other account. When I look at the filter log it shows that the move was completed. Its kind of funny because the folder in theoutlook account turns blue like it is holding a new message but when you click on it the message is not there.

Earlier this week I replaced my router and modem with Spectrum's latest equipment offering higher speeds and a back up battery. Sometimes the outgoing emails come back unsent with the same message as others I see have noted. Error occurred while sending and I am using the same outgoing - mail.twc.com, for the outgoing server. I found that if I try to resend 2 or 3 more times the email does finally get sent. And yes my incoming emails come through without an issue. Also, for 2-3 days after making the equipment switch, when Thunderbird would check for emails and there were none to download, I would receive a message to check settings and that it was unable to connect. However by day 3 and 4 after the new installation I no longer receive that extra pop-up message that only started occurring after the equipment change. Any thoughts? Or is it Spectrum? Terri

It's been almost a week now, and my 2 Microsoft email accounts will not connect to Thunderbird anymore. All was fine for years, but something changed that I can't figure out!?! I have gone to my Microsoft email server and checked that my passwords still work. I even updated one and it works on Microsoft server but not Thunderbird's!?!? I even deleted one email account from Thunder bird to re-install it, but when I tried a fresh re-install Thunderbird still won't connect to Microsoft server??? I'm at my wits end, and may abandon Thunderbird completely if someone there doesn't help me connect!!!

I just replaced my WiFi router and was able to get 5 messages after new network set up, but now it can't connect to outgoing or incoming mail server.. I double checked all my setting with Spectrum and all looks good, but won't connect.

With help from Chatgpt I have tried all possible combinations of server settings, but even if everything seems OK it ends with the message that it is not approved. Chatgpt thinks that it the problem is OAuth not working, maybe because the mail addresses are too old, they are @dbmail.com, and webmail says that the server is outlook.live.com.

TB recently prints unwanted text/information, this also happens while forwarding certain e-mails. As shown in the attachment TB wants to print seven pages although the original mail has only one.

What can we do?

I want to use thunderbird on a Windows 11 laptop. Tell me how to connect Thunderbird to send and receive emails from email account, jds@sefcik.net, hosted at smartmail.buz.net.

I want to change the default download protocol accessing the mail server from imap to pop3. I went into the account settings & changed the default selection from imap to pop3. But the change does not take effect. Tbird still accesses the server using the imap protocol.

Many of my emails received are auto marked/shown as having been read. This means I never know which of my many emails received are new and which I have already read. Particularly annoying as I have a number of aliases and a number of folders to put them in. I am actively considering going back to MS Outlook, which would be regressive.
