I've tried clearing my cache and cookies. My firefox browser is up to date. I tried disabling ad blocker and cookie auto-delete. Javascript is enabled and I even tried turning on that feature that prevents page redirects. I'm truly at a loss for what to do.

Upon startup, the Firefox screen flashes for ½ second but does not stay up. The Firefox "toolbar" stays up across the top, but there is no screen for the browser - just my desktop. I have had to change to Chrome to get online now.

This has been an issue for years and happened last about a month or two ago. I had to completely "uninstall" Firefox and install a new download of it, but lost most all of my settings, shortcuts, etc. Another time an Apple Mac update got it going again. Another time running "C-Cleaner" got it going again. I tried all of these things yesterday and nothing helped so had to go to Chrome.

I am not a computer genius and don't stream movies or anything like that. Mostly just email and shopping, checking websites, and You Tube. I just can't get Firefox to be reliable. Very frustrating!

Thank you! -Tom

When clicking on a site in Firefox for me, the text is OK just like on the registration tab - see example 1.

When a friend of mine clicks on this site, he sees the correct text, but in a split second the following text appears: Meteen na je registratie kan je ticket(s ontvang) download en je een bevestigingmail. Kinderen t.e.m. 16 jaar geleden 16 jaar geleden 16 jaar geleden. The text on the registration tab is also wrong - see example 2.

When logging in to some site, the email address is OK for me, but for certain people it goes completely wrong. In a split second they see the CORRECT email address, but everything goes wrong!!! See my example 3. For the Outlook account Firefox does NOT put @ but a - (minus sign) and for a Gmail account Firefox does NOT put @ but a . (period) and the name of that account is far from correct!!! This should be guido, and what does it say: guiduidobo???

Note: BOTH login details are CORRECTLY displayed in the saved WW. Already removed all caches etc. - started without extensions etc... but this problem persists for those involved! We all work with Windows 10 and Firefox is fully up to date. There is seriously something wrong in Firefox, know that for these 3 points everything is OK in Google Chrome - Edge! Please investigate this thoroughly. Thanks in advance for the necessary effort.

Is it normal that Firefox is trying to load the dll related to the Windows Credential Manager (vaultcli.dll)

"firefox.exe loaded module vaultcli.dll"

If so, what's the purpose of this interaction?

From the looks of it, Firefox is trying to access locally stored credentials using the Credentials Management API.

I updated nearly all of my passwords on my desktop to firefox-generated passwords. Then I was on Firefox on android, and I needed to login to something, but it was filling in the old password. I pressed "sync" in the app, but that didn't update the password. Then I discovered that for reasons I don't understand, all the new passwords in firefox on my desktop had been overwritten by the old passwords from my phone. How do I recover my passwords? I'm locked out of everything.

Microsoft Websites Sign In with Wrong Account by Default

Any time I try to sign into a Microsoft website with my Microsoft account, it defaults to my school account rather than my personal one. Sometimes I click "sign in" and it brings me to the page for choosing an account to sign into, the only option is my school account, leaving me to choose "sign in with another account" and put my email in manually. Sometimes when I click "sign in" it just automatically logs me into my school account and I have to go back to the sign in button to change. Sometimes it seems to just sign me into my school account automatically.

I made a post on the Microsoft Forum about the topic and was told it was most likely a browser issue. I've looked through my saved passwords but didn't find any clues to the issue, perhaps it's related to cookies? But I haven't much confidence clearing them would solve things as this issue has persisted over full OS reinstallations.

The only place I've actually entered the login information for my school account was signing into Outlook, while my personal account I only logged into manually on... some other Microsoft platform, perhaps the account management page. The password for my personal account is remembered, but the data entry forms never autofill; after I type in the email manually it just instantly signs me in.

Thanks.

The way the FF browser saves the password only links to the basic URL, users.wix.com. The problem being, it only offers the password options if one the sign up users page, which that URL default to. It will show the drop down menu with your login options. Once selecting login, FF no longer offers any password options, even with a right-click. Wix has a two page login, one with email, then the next with the password. It is like FF does not even recognize that first page properly. Only after manually entering the email, does the password just appear on the second page (if saved).

This is really sloppy functionality. It really stinks if it has been awhile since logging in, and you cannot remember what email was used with the account if several are related. It requires then manually going into setting and looking it up in the passwords section. I have never experienced this problem with other browsers.

It is there any way to get it to work normally with Wix (and possibly other similar two-step logins)?
