I'm unable to update Adobe flash because mozilla is conflicting. What should I do?

I am trying to install and updated version of Adobe Flash Player 10.2. The error message reads "the installer will automatically continue when these conflicting applications are closed: Mozilla Firefox. I don't know how to close mozilla without disconnecting the internet. I am using an HP desktop with windows XP.

Just close all Firefox windows or use File -> Exit. You will not be disconnected from the Internet.
