I only want the bookmarks toolbar displayed in a NEW tab, how do I do that?
This has been raised by other users but not solved. I can do it in Chrome. Can we have the option in Quantum too. I don't need to see the bookmarks once I've reached the page I want. Only needed in a new tab. Thanks.

Oh! Sorry! I misread your question. You want the Tab Bar to disappear if content has been loaded in the current tab, correct? My answer below isn't going to help you.
In the address bar, enter "about:config" (without the quotes, of course)
Click the "I accept the risk!" button.
Search for and find "browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInTabs" (without the quotes)
Double-click on the value in the "Value" column until the value is "true"
that should make *all* bookmarks open in a tab

Thanks for trying. Yes I want the bookmarks bar to disappear if content has been loaded in the current tab.

This has been marked as solved but it is certainly not... if I can't have the same functionality as Chrome, what is the point of switching?
Not blown away with the quality of your support... so I'm wondering what's the point of switching from Chrome?
