How can I install a custom root CA certificate in Firefox for Android beta 57?

I'm using AdGuard with https filtering and I need to install a custom root CA certificate in Firefox in order to get it working. AdGuard let's install the certificate by creating a temporary local web server for downloading it via http but when opening the link in Firefox beta nothing happens (this method was working fine in Firefox 56 final). As another option AdGuard lets save the certificate in local storage for manually importing it but even this method does not work: pointing the browser to the correct file://... location and tapping on the certificate leads to nothing. I disabled https filtering as a workaround but I imagine that even with internal corporate websites or proxies there is such problem. Any help? Thanks in advance.
