Hello,

After redownloading firefox, it now opens 3 default tabs everytime i open it. The 3 tabs are: 1) Login to firefox-->wanted me to create a firefox account. I created an account in an attempt to get rid of this page, but it didnt help. 2) A tab about information about privacy and the incognito mode. 3)A blanco page

I've tried to change the homepage in the options-->general but everytime i restart firefox, my homepage is changed back to default. Also redwonloading firefox again didnt solve anything. Anyone got a sollution?

greetings.

hello, could you go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information, copy the contents of that page and paste them here into a reply on the forum? this might give us a clue what is going on...

You can check for problems with preferences.

There is software like Advanced SystemCare with its Surfing Protection feature that can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.

Delete possible user.js and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename/remove the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in current Firefox releases.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

Thank you, this article has allowed me to solve the problem: the prefs files were read only.
