Hello! Yesterday (03/16/2025) I received a message that the ChatZilla add-on to Firefox will be disabled on the next restart of FireFox. The message indicates that the extension could not be "verified".

I am using a VERY old computer for ChatZilla only: Windows XP Firefox 48.0.2 ChatZilla 0.9.92

I don't care about the age and inability to update any of the software, but I need to continue to use ChatZilla on this platform.

I have used ChatZilla on this machine for a very long time and do need to continue. Is there any way that I can make this work without having ChatZilla automatically disabled at the next restart of Firefox?

Please assist or advise why Firefox seems to be slowing down my system by memory usage. I have a handful (6) of tabs open on 1 browser session and my system started slowing down so I checked my task manager and it shows that I have more than a dozen of Firefox instances open chewing up almost 90% of my memory.

Please assist or advise me on how to tweak my browser to perform better, and not to show ghost instances

One specific cache entry always contains a trojan virus everytime I run an anti virus check. I can't say where this cache comes from as it appears even if I don't open a single new website. I delete it but it appears everytime I use the Browser again, even multiple times during one session. It is always the same entry code. Is there a way to block a specific cache entry or at least to discern where it originates?
