Firefox fails to obey OS-defined DNS and instead overrides this to use …….Cloudflare? Are you nuts?

Whoever told you Cloudflare is private or secure failed to educate you on Surveillance Capitalism.

For the love of all that is good in this world, rekey Firefox to allow user-defined DNS- whether that is through DHCP, manual config or a management profile.

Hello when downloading Firefox meet Apple iPhone App Store using iOS 16 it's an iPhone 8 when signing in specific password, however gave me the option to sign in with apple does that generate its own private relay email that will sync both fire fox with my iCloud back ups or do I have to go to sign in on my account generate a pacific password and then accounts.firefox.com with the generated password? And is there a good browser extension to use with my Windows HP for is thinking everything

I am using Firefox on both my Windows PC and my iPhone. Although I am signed into the same Firefox Account on both devices, my "Synced Tabs" section on my iPhone remains empty. I have checked my account settings, and "Tabs" and "History" are both checked for syncing on both devices. I have already tried logging out and logging back in, but the data is still not appearing.

I'm running FF v147.2.1 on my iPhone. There is NO translation option in the address bar OR in settings. It was supposed to be introduced in v146. Why is it not available despite having a version that is supposed to have the feature?

I have firefox as my default browser but some of my app ( iphone 11) refuse to open . They always revert to Safari and dont open. I tried few tricks solutions offered online but to no avail. How can i force the apps to open via Firefox please

When I am using Firefox for iOS, and I click on any text input, a bar appears at the bottom of the screen. This bar contains nothing apart from ‘↑ ↓ Done’ on the right. This bar is really annoying and moves the page around irritatingly.

If I click ‘Done’ it will temporarily remove the bar until I click on a text input again, and it will appear again.

I would like to know if this is something to do with Firefox or the device iOS settings.

The 'Open Private Browsing' shortcut from the app icon has been broken for years. Long-press on the Firefox icon → "New Private Tab" → it opens a normal tab instead.

Once inside the app, it now takes five taps just to start typing in a private tab:

Open Firefox Tap the tabs icon in the bottom-right Tap the mask/private icon at the top Tap the "+" to open a new private tab Tap one last time on the address bar to actually start typing

Address bar autocomplete doesn't work at all — not even for bookmarks or sites you visit often. You have to type the full URL every single time, including dots, hyphens and the extension. This causes constant typing mistakes.

You also can't open any bookmark directly into a private tab.

Private browsing has become so frustrating that it's basically unusable, and this has been going on for years. Private mode is one of Firefox’s most important features. These basic issues really need to be fixed.

Google is the only search engine that will open a page. When using Firefox iOS to search, find your way back to a better search engine (below) appears after downloading the app. It seems to be in a loop that will not allow me t open any url. I believe my phone has flexispy (or some kind of spyware) downloaded on it and this is one search engine that it possibly cannot track, so it doesn’t function at all? Could this be the cause of this continuous loop that sends me back to download the app?

I am trying to use Firefox/Safari on my iPhone to access a website that requires camera and microphone access. When I reach the permission prompt, the browser gets stuck or does not allow me to continue even after granting permissions. I already checked settings and allowed camera and microphone, but the issue persists. The page shows a message related to “official browser support” and freezes on the permission screen.

I don’t know why it’s Impossible to get the connexion to helsana.ch on Firefox. Could you help me how to find a solution ?

How can we get rid of the invasive blue pop-up on iOS? Every time I get a tab I want to close, often ads I'm trying to avoid, I get this big blue banner that takes way too long to go away asking "undo closed tab" and ... I never want to undo but it's so frustrating having to wait for it to go away or switch tabs to get it to close faster. Why are they doing this to us? I'm switching to a different browser just to avoid dealing with it and it won't be safari.

Firefox iOS updated this morning to 143.1 In private browsing it’s in dark mode automatically and won’t change even if changing to light in the settings.

Any help? Steve
