My Flash player is not working (Eg: YouTube comments not loading, many videos won't load) and it will not let me update my Flash player.

- YouTube videos do not load the first time. All I see is an empty box. - If I refresh YouTube, it works. - The comments on YouTube NEVER load, no matter how many times I try to refresh. - This same problem occurs in various forms on other cites (Such as CBC.ca) - Certain video playing websites like VideoWeed simply do not work. - I've tried updating Flash, but it doesn't work. Trying to install it simply takes me to the Adobe home page. I had to use Chrome, do the same process, and copy the link that actually starts the download and put it into Firefox. - It still doesn't work. There are a plethora of small examples like this, but the simplest way I can put it is that Flash player is not working in a way that allows me to update Flash player, which is really, really, annoying. I've also tried updating through the addons section of Firefox, and the links there don't do anything for me either.

I can not find this plug in for the version of Firefox I have 3.6.8, even though it already runs with it?

I can not find Google Web Toolkit Developer Plugin for Firefox for Firefox 3.6.8 even though I already have Google Web Toolkit Developer Plugin for Firefox running on a version of Firefox 3.6.8 on other computers.

  1. There is no regular information that tells you how to get this plugin as there is with other plugins.
  2. When GWT Devmode loads the Firefox brower, it says "missing plugin." you click to install, and it can't find it.
  3. I know that I have previously been able to install Google Web Toolkit Developer Plugin for Firefox version 1.0.7511 installed on Firefox 3.6.8 on another machine. But I'm migrating to this one.

I absolutely HATE IE, so I hope we can find a solution to my problem.

Pc info: Win 7 64 bit, 2.9 pentium with 4 gig ram video: radeon HD 3800

Three days ago I was infected by some malware. While i had it i could not watch videos on youtube in full screen unless i constantly moved my mouse. I uninstalled the malware and it didn't help. I reinstalled videos card drivers (even tried the new beta drivers), firefox, adobe flash, java 32 and 64 bit, and performed these steps: http://techlogon.com/2012/06/04/flash-player-crashes-in-all-web-browsers/

I've reset Firefox, emptied cache in Firefox, and manually deleted all program temp folders I could find. Also, I have disabled all add-ons and plugins, and even ran Firefox in safemode. Nothing seems to work. There may be a few things I've forgotten that I've tried.

I've spent over 2 hours trying to get this to happen. Add-ons didn't work with 13.0.1. My config list wasn't the same as the one in the forum that suggested a change. I read that 14.0.1 was supposed to make it possible--did it? The tabs page in tools/options looks the same, and the default is blank page. After seeing so many people writing about the same thing, it's hard to believe that the Foxfire folks find this such a challenge.

Nonetheless, can anyone help?

Thanks

I have used Firefox for about 7 years. No issues... I recently installed Ghostery add on.

The only way to describe it is: I go to a page.. Click a link (or close to it) or enter or any other button/link that would take me to what I expect..

BUT instead it opens a new tab to an advertisement site (quibids, P&G, many other random ads) - a few of them I blacklisted with BLOCKSITE (installed after the problem started happening) but several I can't because I would actually use them when I need to (ex: Vistaprint.com)

When I go back to the original site and click the same link and click it again it works as intended. This happens across all sites that I am on... It is like there is a hidden link within the one I am clicking on. I have pop ups blocked in my browser but this gets around it somehow.

Since GHOSTERY installed, some sites do not work correctly. If I click on a picture, or something that I want to expand it is as if I am doing nothing at all because it won't complete the action, the functionality is broken.

I have white listed a couple sites but this is random and if I whitelist everything I come across then it opens me back to what I am trying to avoid..

EXAMPLES:

went on Heat.com, clicked the button to go to the White Hot Gear instead it opened a new tab brandonline.com

was on LinkedIn and hit the comment button on a thread, then it opened a new tab vistaprint.com

was on publix.com, hit the order refills button, then it opened a new tab premium-promos.net

did a google search clicked on the link I wanted, it opened a new tab premiumgiftrewards.net

EACH time I go back to the original site and click the same button/link/etc it takes me where expected.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I have been using Firefox for some time now. I love the browser. I really really hate this plugin check page that opens every time I open Firefox. It is just annoying.

I updated all the plugins that were vulnerable, but there are some other plugins that it doesn't seem to recognize or whatever, and it asks me to research those. Is this the reason why the plugin check continuously pops up?

I don't know why Mozilla designed this page to be so annoying. I know it's as simple as closing out of it, but it is just buggy to me and a constant reminder that I don't know something about these plugins LOL it drives me crazy...

Please help. Thanks.

I'm using Windows 7 Home premium on an HP Pavilion laptop. Maybe two weeks ago, I stopped being able to create new folders in the Windows Explorer box; I click the "New Folder" button, and nothing happens: no error message, nothing. Around two weeks ago, I also reinstalled Firefox to get rid of some adware virus (success: the adware is gone!). I do not recall the exact timing on when I did the reinstall and when I stopped being able to create new folders, but I'm wondering if the folder problem could be related to the re-install. And if so, what can I do about it? Thanks so much for any help you can offer.

Since updating Firefox to 18.0, some of my websites no longer work. These are sites where java is used. Some of these are know safe sites (they are company owned, use important web apps written in java, hosted locally). These are mission critical apps, but no longer work. They keep giving the message, "An application from the location below is requesting permission to run." It then gives the URL. I have the option to Run or Cancel. There is a check box for "Do not show me again for this app." Even if i check the box and hit run, the next time back at the page it runs again. There are like 20 of these every page.

Firefox needs to create a way to allow exceptions for know sites to always run these java scripts. Without that, it basically becomes junk for me.

Ever since the last security update on 11/5/13 to my firefox it has been very slow, for instance it takes forever just to access my bank account online. Any video I watch will only work when I keep moving my mouse, as soon as I stop moving it the video freezes. I have done everything that you suggest and it just barely made a difference for a little while, then it was very slow again. Do I have to switch over to Google Chrome or are you going to fix this?

I was downloading several programs and being very careful not to except any additional downloads. When the next day I booted up my computer and found NCH Toolbar on my browser and with it a number of other problems.

(added this from "more system details") - I went to Add/Remove but the NCH Toolbar wasn't there but it's on my browser. I went to Search and typed in 'how to remove NCH Toolbar'. What a bunch of junk- Go to Add/Remove,I did that already-Get free removal software,Yell right with up-sell on software. I burned up two days chasing my tail or these idiots, you know who you are and they'll identify themselves when they try to defend themselves. I kept playing around on the Tabs on Firefox and came to the Tab marked Tools. I opened Tools and found Add-ons and opened that and found NCH Toolbar Uninstall. WOW !!! It worked why did it have to be so hard, because the greedy Jerks have to make money on us. Well, I don't need to ruin to my reputation so my information is free.
