Hi

You did an update to Firefox about two weeks ago & now I can't login. Had to call EDD yesterday & today to talk to an IT specialist. She told me that Mozilla never contacted California EDD & for the last two weeks people, myself included haven't been able to login. She told me to use Chrome or Microsoft Edge, both of which I absolutely HATE to use. Well guess what I was able to login using Microsoft Edge.

Here's the steps Login They send you a 6 digit text code. You enter the code Then you get a pop up message that something went wrong & call the 833 - 876 - 9333 for the IT dept. Which only takes about 20+ trys to get someone.

PLEASE CORRECT THIS SITUATION!!!!

I still need to see the password because I saved some password that I use for other platform on firefox. The screenshot attached below. what should I do now?

Hello I have an issue going on with the autofill info that I use. When I type my name, my 1st name comes out fine but when I type my last name it's now a misspelled last name. Seems like it all started with a new banking company that I'm with now. I 1st notice it there and I had to fill out forms to correct the info with them and it was kind of a hassle. I noticed that there was one extra letter added to my last name when I looking at my account info. Maybe when I was initially filling out my personal info with them, I might have spelled my last name incorrectly. I'm not sure. Sometimes I type words wrong. I'm not the greatest at typing. But since then I've noticed my auto fill info, my last name, has been bringing up that same incorrect last name. How can I fix that. I see solutions for editing addresses and passwords but nothing about names, personal info. Anybody know how I can fix this. It has become a nuisance. Thank you ahead of time.

I opened Firefox (V 145.0.2) on my Windows 11 laptop today and noticed that the starting window was the only one open, while I have had at least five windows open for quite some time. The "History|Recently closed windows" option is greyed out. I have closed and restarted Firefox dozens of times and my windows always came back until today. Is that window/tab history stored somewhere where I could recover it?

Thinking about backups of the browser state, I looked for my profile folder and discovered that it is empty - \Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\mozilla is empty except for a file named vpn.moz. I then discovered that my profile seems instead to be stored under \Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Packages\Mozilla.Firefox_n80bbvh6b1yt2\LocalCache\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles with the folder name e5di8bjy.default-release I now learned that this location is standard for installation via the Microsoft store - the so-called MSIX version. But it is wrong that the "About"profiles" page shows that my profile is in the AppData\Roaming, not the Packages, location. When I try to open that profile folder, I get a message telling me that it is not available on this computer. It seems like the profile info should be aware of the actual location?

Dear Community: What settings can I use so that the sites I continually use recognize me. I have to sign into my email many times a day and also to the New York Times Games which I subscribe to. Is there a way to allow these sites to recognize me without having to go through signing in each time. Even if I log out and a minute later I need to go back on. I have to go through the rigamarole of signing in yet again.

I do not have to do this on my phone as the sites recognize me. I used to be able to do this on this computer also now I can no longer do it. I believe there is something in Firefox settings that is causing this but I don't know what it is or how to change the settings that are causing this.

Since update to version 145.0 I cannot send messages, when sending I get this message "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: <*******@shaw.ca> sender rejected AUP#POL. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again". Nothing has changed with account settings. Same problem on another machine that updated to 145.0. Any ideas what is broken?

Not a question, but I am vying for your "Least Important Problem of the Day" award. Mozilla makes great products. And,

The recent new "window fades away" when closing Firefox (or upon saving a file) is weirdly annoying and unnecessary imho. Obviously not a deal breaker, but I'd prefer if the window just closed. I don't need to wistfully watch it fade away. Thanks for the chance to offer input. Why am I even writing this.

I sure hope my bookmarks don't disappear like folks I'm seeing here today.

Hi, Since the last update for Mozilla on the laptop (updated on 6/Oct/2025 - version 143.0.4 (64-bit)), all the shortcuts to websites in Firefox homepage I had pinned have disappeared. Also I can't add new shortcuts. I already have shortcuts enabled in Settings>Home>Firefox Home Content>Shortcuts.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Kind regards.

For roughly three months I have been experiencing issues with Twitch.tv that I do not have on other browsers. Namely, after a random period of time the site will just "go out" on me. I can keep watching streams that are open, but any attempt to open a new window or tab results in a page with no elements loaded. During this "out" period none of my chats will send, and any other attempts to interact with Twitch will fail. After a random period of time, things will go back to normal.

I've tried clearing my cache and cookies, I've tried disabling and uninstalling all of my extensions, I've tried updating the browser, I've uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, I've tried Incognito Mode, I've tried a DNS flush, I've refreshed Firefox and it didn't work.

I have found one thing that has worked though. I created two new profiles. The first had the issues occur again, but the second one hasn't experienced any of the same issues as far as I've seen, so I think the issue is with my settings. The trouble is, I don't know which setting is the issue, and deleting prefs.js doesn't appear to reset my settings, even after restarting my browser. Is there some step I'm missing regarding deleting prefs.js?

Please do NOT suggest using Firefox Refresh, as I am NOT interested in going through all the steps again, especially when it didn't work at all the first time I tried.

Hi there, My laptop undertook an update for Firefox and I have just discovered that all of my bookmarks have disappeared and I cannot find anyway to restore these. My laptop cannot access any profile, I have followed advice in other posts, but I cannot find access to this data. I have lost all my Masters Degree bookmarks and my BSc, which I need access to asap to continue. Can you please advise on how I can get these back?

I have checked my mobile Firefox and it still has access to these bookmarks but there is no way for me to export these files out of my mobile. I am worried about undertaking a sync (although it says it has) in case it deletes all of these bookmarks.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

I try hard to use firefox in headless mode for a python selenium project in freebsd. But firefox complains about GPUs and the absense of a X-Server, but this is a headless mode and crashes with a segmentation fault. Why does it want a GPU and X-Server in headless mode? Does not make sense.

The output when i try to start is : " firefox --headless

I am trying to find the files for my passwords from an old profile after Firefox just updated and created a new profile. I have just created a Mozzilla account so my profile can start to automatically update with all of my old passwords, but I first need to manually transfer them from my old profile that didn't have a Mozzilla account yet. I have been following the steps for doing so from the "help" pages, but I haven't been able to find the files for my passwords.
