lmy mother had lung cancer from abostoes and its been a few years since the law firm fialed with the trust funds. They received a offer from John Mansfield trust for$2,500 and offered me 1,200 something doesn't seem rite. I have been told that it could be years before the trust companies pay. when I was on the phone with the girl I was told that they have already received the money since I signed the release form about 2 months ago. The letter I signed yesterday said it could be 6 to 8 weeks before getting the money. Can someone please tell me why if they have already received the money. This was filed 3 year's ago. Thank you so much.

I posted a similar request here: https://mozilla.crowdicity.com/post/742615, because "Submit Feedback" link redirected me there. Maybe this is the right place for the feedback.

The release note of FF Ver:93 states this:"When available system memory is critically low, Firefox on Windows will automatically unload tabs based on their last access time, memory usage, and other attributes. This should help reduce Firefox out-of-memory crashes. Switching to an unloaded tab automatically reloads it."

This is something those of us with modest RAM (4GB, in my case) have been waiting for, for quite a while. But, FF continues to hog significant memory in spite of the claimed changes as above. I don't see any perceivable changes to my system performance thus far even a few days since the update. The issue, as you'd know better, elevated RAM usage invariably causes a continual spike in Paging, leading to excessive Disk (HDD) usage > resulting in an unresponsive system, which eventually ends up in a system freeze (in my case at least). The only way out being a hard power-down and restart of the system.

I have also set the "Content process limit" to 4 in the settings to no avail. We'd appreciate if you could configure FF behavior to adapt when system resources are low than wait for things to be critical.

12.4.21 FFox 78.15 mac OS El Capitan 10.11.6

Had single user admin setup using FFox for years. Once I set up FFox years ago, I long forgot what my email sign in was, of the three emails I have.... aol, yahoo and gmail.

Recently a file corrupted. Apple techs suggested opening second admin as test user. Test user admin worked fine. In process of testing, I discovered FFox in THAT tester admin opened differently.... no more Bookmarks Toolbar, no History Trail.

One Apple tech suggested looking into 2nd admin (test) account to see my sign in. It was AOL acct. I did not select a sign in acct. I simply opened FFox browser to test it. Went back to 1st acct (original) and FFox signed in with Yahoo acct. I never realized this. All those years had been opening through Yahoo acct.

Apple tech said all I needed to do was switch AOL acct back to Yahoo sign in to once again see all my previous Bookmarks Toolbar and History Trail. I've spent HOURS searching how to simply switch accounts in same admin browser. Why is something so simple, impossible to find. Perhaps it can't be done.

The closest I came was to do this - click upper right corner (3 lines) in browser and click on email address > click Acct settings > click Manage acct. When the Accounts page appears, I see only a Primary email entry (AOL) with no options next to it, and below it, Secondary email (which says None) with button next to it indicating Add.

When I click it, new window appears asking to enter Secondary email address. I enter yahoo address, click SAVE and red box appears saying "ACCOUNT ALRERADY EXISTS" I KNOW THE ACCOUNT ALREADY EXISTS. IF FFOX KNOWS THIS, WHY WON'T IT ALLOW ME TO SWITCH TO IT?????????

That's as far as I can go. Even signing into the Sync acct asking which account to sign in with, I use Yahoo but next time I open FFox, still back to AOL.

I will say, once I was in my 2nd test admin and opened Chrome to test as I did FFox, Chrome AUTOMATICALLY updated to same Chrome from 1st admin (corrupted) which included same Bookmarks etc from 1st admin Chrome.

But not so with FFox. Not so.

If there is anyone on the planet who may have knowledge of how to simply switch sign in account from AOL to Yahoo, I would LOVE to meet that person. Thank you!

Have Firefox blocked this and/or are there ways users can protect themselves?

"14 new types of 'XS-Leak' cross-site leak attacks against modern web browsers, including Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari, and Mozilla Firefox."

"These types of side-channel attacks are called 'XS-Leaks,' and allow attacks to bypass the 'same-origin' policy in web browsers so that a malicious website can steal info in the background from a trusted website where the user enters information.

"The principle of an XS-Leak is to use such side-channels available on the web to reveal sensitive information about users, such as their data in other web applications, details about their local environment, or internal networks they are connected to," explains the XS-Leaks wiki.

For example, an XS-Leak attack could help a background site siphon the email inbox contents from an active tab used for accessing webmail."

It took years to perfect my userchrome to make FF look exactly how I want. Once 91+ came out it wasn't even a question of fixing the floating tabs and condensing the height and menu spacing (though I tried all of it) but my own codes stopped working properly - I had code to set the background colour of menus/bookmark menus and when I upgrade they were the right colour but with thick white borders around them. This was more important to me than the floating tabs and I immediately downgraded to 90 where I've stayed. Can anyone help me figure out how to get MY codes to work with 91+ and/or to work together with the other fixes out there (tabs, condensed menus etc)??

Below is how my userchrome looks and attached is how my current set up looks. ANY advice is appreciated. THANK YOU.

Hi, I realise this sort of thing is not exactly the end of the world but I'll ask anyway. In Proton, the background of the Settings page, about:config page and the Library window have changed to black [with white text]. Before, everything was white background with black text...is there any way at all to go back to that, without changing the Theme that I've been using for years? The Firefox colour settings change the Settings and about:config pages background to white but then you have the glaring white high contrast etc on every web page...and it still has a black background in the Library window, regardless of what colour settings I have there. I can change all this easily with some other theme or that Firefox Color addon [which is how I got the second picture below] but if that's the only option I would rather just put up with it as it is.

First pic is how it is now, second is how it always was before Proton and I want it to be again.

Thanks

I know this is probably an odd issue. I have a website that I use frequently and one of the drop down boxes on the website changes the selection I make automatically if I move from one screen to the next then back again. What would cause this issue?

I have cleared everything from the browser and done a refresh. I also cleared the startup cache. The refresh corrected the issue for a few hours but then it started again. Clearing the startup cache worked for about 5 minutes then it started again.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

We use Firefox in our small business to deliver web-based apps for visitor sign-in at schools. We specify Firefox ESR primarily because of the Silent Print feature and the fact it is much easier to enable in Firefox than other major browsers.

With the ESR 91 release we began getting reports from customers that our web-app was no printing the name tags to a locally connected label printer. The printer has been checked. Drivers are installed and updated. The target label printer is designated as the default for the Win-PC station.

The config of the Firefox print function has been verified so that it is targeting the right local device and has the relevant print settings correct.

When we run with PRINT.ALWAYS_PRINT_SILENT = TRUE the sign-in process completes and no name tag is printed to the label printer.

When we run with PRINT.ALWAYS_PRINT_SILENT = FALSE the sign-in process completes, the print dialog pops and upon clicking the PRINT button the name tag prints to the label printer.

What's up with the PRINT.ALWAYS_PRINT_SILENT setting? It used to work, when we were running ESR78. Silent printing has been our selling point to run Firefox on hundreds of PC/Win (and Mac) workstations across our customer sites. Without this feature enabled and working, our customers are going to start asking to move back to Chrome or Edge.

Testing ConvertKit integrations with my Squarespace site across multiple browsers. Firefox (v94.0.2) doesn't show the embedded ConvertKit form in the footer. I also have the ConvertKit form embedded in a sidebar, and while Firefox shows that form, it doesn't initiate the correct response (a 'thank you' that shows up on the sidebar when someone signs up); instead it pops open a new browser window with the thank you message.

I uploaded 2 images; one shows how the form should act on the sidebar after subscribing (screenshot from using Chrome) and the other shows how Firefox handles the subscribe. The Chrome screenshot shows Sign Up For Our Newsletter and a Success! message below it. The Firefox image shows that the form response takes me to another web page with multiple messages.

Any ideas what's up? should I advise visitors to the website that the form does not display correctly on Firefox?

Thanks -

I have long used the option to have a separate address and search bar ("Add search bar in toolbar" in search settings). A few months ago, I changed that to "Use the address bar for search and navigation". The search bar is gone, but when I type a query into my combined address and search bar, I only get "We're having trouble finding this site".

Notes: -) My default search engine is DuckDuckGo, but it doesn't work either when I make Google my default search engine -) I can use the "this time search with..." buttons on bottom, but that's an extra step for every search -) My profile goes way back to the beginnings of Firefox. Any hidden settings that might not have been migrated properly in the past, and that I could check in the about:config?

Hello! Something in my Firefox installation seems to be making several Google network (google.com / forcesafesearch.google.com / www.youtube-nocookie.com / m.youtube.com, and a couple of others) calls shortly after launch. I have a DNS sinkhole, so that is how I can see.

I have a few reputable extensions (or should be, from EFF, Firefox itself, or Ublock Origin), but it also happens in safe mode. I went through a good chunk of this: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-stop-firefox-making-automatic-connections and still the calls occur

I am on Windows 10, with FF v93.

Thanks very much!
