Hello,

I've experienced a blue screen of death on my machine as listed below, which seems to point that Firefox.exe is the starting point of the BSOD.

I had around 8 tabs open at the time of which 2-3 Twitch.tv channels, Private mode tabs with several websites with a variance of content-typed on them.

However, I had these open in the background while I was playing a game and at some point my computer just rebooted.

It hasn't happened another time (yet) and it is the first time I've had a BSOD for quite some time so it kind of scared me.

I had Hardware Acceleration turned on and Content Process limit was set to 8(Default).

The Nvidia drivers I have installed are: 451.67 (09-07-2020)

I'm using Firefox 79.0 on Win10 x64. When I'm searching on Google, Facebook or Youtube, there is a 10-20 seconds delay between my input and its display in search field, and it's displaying symbols I entered at 1 symbol in 1-2 seconds. After around a minute the delay cuts to minimal and I can use the search normally (but by that time site is already responding to the earlier input which sometimes can be in wrong keyboard layout or misspelled because I didn't see what I was typing until 1 minute after I typed it). I don't have this problems at the websites that are not Google-related, also I don't have it in other browsers. I've tried restarting Firefox (obviously, as this problem persists for weeks now) and/or clearing cache, didn't help.

I was using Firefox in my computer and it was working fine. But after I migrated to windows 10 Os and installed Firefox, I am facing some issues with Firefox. First of all, the gmail.com page is not loading correctly (image added). Also some websites like geeksforgeeks and other websites are having trouble to show some images (mainly).

- what I tried doig previously. 1. Doing ctrl + shift + r on those pages 2. Uninstalling and reinstalling firefox with clearing firefox app data folder from windows computer. 3. Doing a refresh from help menu. 4. Tried running in safe mode. (disabling all extensions) 5. Clearing cache and data from firefox settings.

How how to show them perfectly. however they show good in chrome, but I want to use firefox. So a fix will be highly appreciated.

Recently updated to the latest 2 versions and Firefox is failing download speed wise. Upload speeds are what they should be. I have ran speed tests from multiple sources and all return a similar range - 40-60Mbps. My provider speed is 100Mbps. I have run the same tests with Safari and it is operating at 100% speed wise. Are new security features and / or tracking filters responsible for this slow down ?

My system is Firefox 79, Windows 10. Lazy loading is supported in Firefox since version 75: https://caniuse.com/#feat=loading-lazy-attr

I found that this works on Firefox for lazy loading of images. However, YouTube embedding in an iframe, it doesn't work. I ensured that the video is long way below the fold. Even then, the iframe is loaded upfront. This is the HTML for the iframe:

<iframe loading="lazy" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/iQBat7e0MQs" allowfullscreen="" width="480" height="270"></iframe>

On Chrome, lazy loading works as expected for the same web page (on my localhost).

Recently, in a Google group I participate in, I stopped being able to reply to the original poster. (I can still reply to the whole group.) I couldn't find any setting within Groups that applied to the issue. One Google search result said it was an issue with Chrome browser "mailto" settings. I am not able to find anything analogous to that in Firefox. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? It looks like my Firefox version is 79.0. Thanks.

I'm working to support a user who uses Firefox 79 on macOS 10.15.

Throughout the day, this user has to run a long-running Python script that uses the selenium module and geckodriver to have Firefox automatically interact with some ancient web based accounting software.

This approach is out of my control, I did not implement it, and being a very small company, there's no budget to change it or buy new hardware. It is what it is.

We also can't run in any sort of a headless mode, as the user must sometimes manually interact with this ancient accounting web site in rare cases.

The script itself works fine, as long as Firefox's window retains focus or stays in the foreground the whole time. It can run successfully for days like this.

The problem happens when Firefox ends up becoming a background window while the Selenium script is still running.

This happens often, as the user usually also has other stuff that needs to be done on this computer.

When in the background, Firefox and the Selenium script will work fine for some time. But then it's like Firefox suspends itself.

The Selenium script can still communicate with Firefox, but it's like Firefox has stopped updating the UI or the DOM for some reason.

This can cause the Selenium script to fail, as it can't find elements that it expects to be present in the DOM.

If the Firefox window is brought to the foreground again, it shows an outdated page rendering and the cursor is a "+" cross shape. Clicking within the Firefox window, for example, seems to refresh the UI, and it'll show the correct, current page after a few seconds.

Does Firefox do something to suspend tabs or windows that no longer have focus or are no longer in the foreground?

If it does, is there some way to easily disable this?

I can understand something like that being useful to save energy on laptops, for example, but in our case it's destroying Firefox's usability for this long-running Selenium job.

Many thanks!

Ever since I started using Firefox I've found that if I Google a subject and then try to open a resulting listesd website which is marked as an "Ad", it won't open and I get a "Server Not Found" message. I like Firefox a lot but this is plain irritating!

On the Help pages I found a suggestion about changing the proxy setting to "No Proxy" (I'm just an individual at home, running through a standard BT hub), but that doesn't seem to have made any difference.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received!
