Fedora 33, Firefox all The web page wants permission to know my location and popups a yes/no box. I click on Yes expecting the box to do it's thing and go away. It doesn't, it remains and covers everything below it and locks the page.

And the problem is getting old ...

I've been using Firefox 63.0 for quite some time and had dozens of websites open. I referred to these websites frequently. After checking some emails this morning, I decided to RESTART my laptop. It turned out this was a HUGE mistake!! When I went to "Recent Items" as I usually do to find the Firefox link, the only version available was 70.0.1. Not only was 63.0 NOT in "Recent Items" I could no longer find it in my Download logs. I had chosen NOT to begin using version 70.0 because there was no mechanism to move my open site from 63.0 to 70.0. HOW DO I FIND AND OPEN 63.0 OR, ALTERNATIVELY, GET 70.0 TO FIND AND RETAIN THOSE SITES I HAD ON MY 63.0? I should note that ALL MY PASSWORDS where required were stored on the 63.0 browser and are NOT present when I use the 70.0 version!!

I just updated my Mac OS and now I am not able to watch Netflix shows. Not having a problem on Chrome.

Fixed own problem with Netflix. Did not have most updated version of Firefox!

Hello good people, This is rather a request for advice than an issue report. I' ve learned about the facebook container add-on and wanted to know if there is a need for it if someone was making sure to exclusively open facebook.com in its own profile. Say you set up a profile(from about:profiles) namely "BIg Brothers" for notorious trackers like google, facebook , twitter etc so they can perpetually track each other with simple rules to observe like : - Never open an external(shared) link - Never access any other website through that profile.

Is there a particular feature the add-on is bringing up that the native interface is missing ? The other reason is add-ons are great but they tend to bloat the system impeding the browsing experience. I am the kind of guy who opens 7 concurrent tabs each running heavy js code so the lighter the better.

It would be nice to have an option to DISABLE Tabs. I know, a lot of people like tabs but I am not one of them. <g>

When ever I press 'b' or 'B' (B with caps lock on), a new tab is opened with the page that I am currently in. This is really annoying as I am not able to use the shortcut of inserting new cell below in Jupyter Notebook.

I am not able to find any ways to edit the shortcuts of firefox. Any help would be appreciated.

FireFox 70.0.1, Windows 7 pro 32-bit.

A year or two ago I found that I couldn't get FireFox (then an earlier version) to play any of the music samples on Amazon. All attempts to fix this failed, so I switched to Chrome for a time, which work fine for this application.

Chrome, however, has developed other issued, so I came back to FireFox, in the version listed above.

And I come to find out that it has the same problem as the old version. It will not play any of the sound samples on the Amazon.com site. I click on the "play " button, and the circle goes round and round, but nada.

FireFox doesn't have any problem with sound on any other site I visit, including youtube, hulu, spotify, Google play, and various others too numerous to mention. But on Amazon: nada.

• I went here: https://hpr.dogphilosophy.net/test/ and checked all available file formats. FireFox supports them all, except for .caf -- which shouldn't be an issue, since Amazons samples are MP3.

• I have checked to assure that media.mediasource.webm.enabled is set to "true" -- doesn't matter what it's set to,

  no sound samples on Amazon.

• I have tried turning "hardware acceleration" off and on; still no sound samples on Amazon.

• I tried FireFox in "safe" mode -- still no sound samples on Amazon.

• I went to Microsoft and downloaded the "Media Feature Pack"; attempted to install, and was told that this

  installation "doesn't apply to your system".

Still no sound samples on Amazon.

A web search seems to indicate that this has been a problem with FireFox since at least 2015.

Does anybody have a REAL fix for this problem (e.g., one that actually WORKS)?

I'd really hate to have to go back to Chrome.

meine Passwörter sind plötzlich weg, ich möchte keinen Brauser der die Passwörter vergisst. Warum passiert dies immer wieder?  

Es sollte eine sehr einfache Rückhohkung geben und nicht so ein umständliches Suchen nach den vorhandenen Passwörtern und der Rückholung!!!

Ich habe ein umfangreiche Internetseite von über 30 Domain etc. wie soll ich da die ganzen

Passwörter merken!!!

Es ist ein Unding, wenn Firefox plötzlich die Passwörter nicht anzeigt, so ist dies eine Stundenlange Arbeit!!!

I use Hotmail/Outlook email. Lately, I've noticed that when I click on an email link and FFX is already open, FFX "times out" on the second link. I have to close FFX and click the link again, so that FFX is brought up from "square one," and the link opens normally. Why can't I just open a new tab for each new link without having to close FFX?

When I add a phone number to autofill a +1 is always added in front of the number. If I delete the +1 and "Save" the +1 reappears. How do I get rid of the +1in front of phone number in autofill?

Please help! Just recently Firefox will not allow me to save jpeg photos from online to my computer. It saves as a weird HTML file that cannot be used. It's sooo frustrating!!

I want to bookmark 10 selected history pages. I selected them, and right-click gives me the context menu as shown on the attached screen shot. But selecting "Bookmark Pages" does not work. Only individual pages selected this way will bookmark. And the option there "Open all in tabs" works fine, and I can then bookmark the 10 open tabs. But that wastes my time and bandwidth, and supposing I want to bookmark hundreds of history pages? Opening them all in tabs would break the machine.

Print window only shows PrimoPDF, no other printers. Can see all printers in other apps, can't see them in Firefox. Tried resetting printer and all printer settings. Still cannot see all printers Windows sees in Devices and Printers!! Why can't I see a complete list of my printers in Firefox?!

Since Firefox is natively supporting .webp images, they are displayed as webp images on web sites providing this option. How can we force Firefox to fallback to jpg or png images? I know .webp images support is an improvement, but for my case I need to export a lot of pictures from websites using a drag'n drop from Firefox to Windows Explorer. As webp images are not supported natively by Windows, this is useless... I would like to get the standard image instead.

Remark : Before Firefox v70, it was possible to force it tweaking about:config : "image.http.accept" = "image/webp,*/*" > change to "*/*" But this tweak is not working anymore.

I use keyboard text replacements on Mac OS (under System Preferences/Keyboard/Text) and they are present in Safari and Chrome forms. For instance, typing a message in GMail I can type 'sig' to be replaced by 'NAME' . Can't do it in FireFox. Is there a way?
