When any PDF contains bookmarks, the built-in PDF viewer defaults the navigation pane open to the bookmarks tab. It also flows the navigation pane OVER the PDF content when launched. If I maximize the window, the nav pane will dock to the side and allow the full document to be viewed, but not when it is first launched. Is there a way for me to change the behavior and only expose the nav pane if I choose to open it?

Thanks!

Links like https://youtu.be/S4fXBA2UOr0 doesn't open. Firefox opens the page with message: Connection doesn't secure. Certificate is unknown. But this is simple YouTube and the same links has no problems with opening in Chrome or IE-11 The problem is only in FF. I'm the author of YouTube channel that is why I want this kind of links to be opened in any browser. I have Firefox Quantum 64.0.2 64bit, Russian lang. Is it my computer's problem or it is common problem of all FF users? Do you have any recommendation what I can do?

Hi all. Seems like after updates, my computer slows down. It has become so recognizable, I know when the registry errors appear, as my computer performance falls off. I must use Reginout Registry cleaner, and CC Cleaner to restore performance. Along with any FireFox updates, my bookmarks have all been deleted many times over. I no longer attempt to re-install, as they continually get deleted, and so simple fix is available to me that I can understand. Thank you.

Firefox 64.0.2 (64-bit) will not sync my Notes. I installed it through testpilot. I use Sync without issues to sync my Bookmarks. I click on the "Sign in to Sync" field, which shows the sign-in page, I sign in, and it returns me to the Notes bar where the field now reads "Reconnect to Sync", and after a while "Activate your Account". I also get a mail "New sign in to Sync". Did this several times, and on two different PC - a Laptop with Windows 10 and a desktop with Windows 7. My Android account has Notes connect to Sync without any issues. I tried the same with Noscript and ublock disabled. Thanks a lot for any pointers

I have a baffling Firefox (ver 64.0.2 (64 bit) problem. The keyboard's behavior is erratic when using Firefox to read news. It occurs *almost always* when browsing Google News, and *sometimes* with NPR news, StatesReports, and possibly others. Those are the three I read regularly.

Today, the misbehavior on both of my Windows computers, in both safe and normal modes: when Google News is launched, the "Up", "Down", "Left", and "Right" arrow keys do nothing except move a cursor around within page elements; the "Page down" & "Page up", work correctly, but the "End" and "Home" keys do nothing. At other times, successive presses of the page down will work correctly a couple of times, and the next press will perform a page up and the following press results in a page down then the next press results in another page up. This loop continues. From that point pressing the end key or the home key does nothing. At other times, the keys perform as expected. At still other times the Down arrow performs END, and Up arrow performs HOME. The HOME and END KEYS seem to move the cursor left and right within the element which has the FOCUS.

The Chrome browser works fine.

I have two computers running Windows 7 Professional. My laptop is a Lenovo X220. My Desktop is a homebuilt PC based on a Gigabyte motherboard. The laptop is a refurb bought from Amazon in August 2016 and came with Windows 7 professional installed. The PC's Win 7 was installed from a system builder "Intended for Distribution with a refurbished PC" disc about 2 1/2 years ago (June 2016). Both machines have been running without any significant problems until several months ago. Now both have the same problem, while another pc running linux mint does not have the problem.

I have restarted Firefox with add-ons disabled and the problem persists, so I don't believe it is caused by any of the add-ons. I swapped out multiple keyboards, checked both machines for malware using Malwarebytes, restarted Firefox and rebooted the computers several times, and tried running without Microsoft Security Essentials; I decided the Firefox profiles must be the source of the problem, so on Jan 12, 2019 I completely uninstalled/reinstalled Firefox on the PC and it worked fine (keyboard problem gone) so I did the same thing on the laptop, and it also worked correctly. I figured the problem was gone. Then, four days later (the 16th) the problem restarted, on both machines.

I am wondering if there might be a problem with a Firefox or Windows update, since the keyboard issue occurred at roughly the same time on both machines. It seems odd that both computers worked correctly for four days and simultaneously the problem restarted. I certainly don't want to reinstall Windows just to see if that helps.

Any advice will be greatly be appreciated.

Hi,

I've set a proxy in network connetion settings, no-proxy just for {localhost; 127.0.0.1}, same for both http and https. Thus all external traffic should flow through the proxy. Instead, while e.g. https://www.technologyreview.com/ goes via proxy, https://cdn.technologyreview.com/ doesn't: if I set a rule in the proxy to block .technologyreview.com the cdn sub is unaffected. 'https://cdn' in the urlbar looks grayed-out like 'https://support' for this site. I see no corresponding 'hidden' exception in the about:config to explain this. Also, oddly enough, went to extensions manager, disabled all then the cdn part was no more gray and reloading the url it got blocked as expected. But then re-activating the extensions nothing changed. And retrying same procedure after close & restart of FF did not yield same result, i.e. https//cdn always gray and bypassed proxy.

Using latest FF on Win10Pro

My correspondent made corrections to a file they had posted. I keep getting the 1st (uncorrected) file. Are my settings corrupted?

I made another attempt in Chrome after the correspondent assured me that the file had been corrected. The file I downloaded from Chrome is the new corrected file. I tried again in Firefox and it still downloads the 1st file even though that file no longer exists on the server.

Running Mojave 10.14.2 About 1 week ago Firefox auto-updated to Quantum 64.0.2 and introduced a "virus" that displays a fake error message that says something about a problem with the "daisy-chain" on "my PC". The message persists about 30 seconds, then disappears. It always appears during startup from power-on or from sleep mode. It reappears about every 10 min during running, on the top level of the screen (hiding what's beneath). A screenshot doesn't show the message. So far I haven't seen any other changes in computer performance. I tried reloading Firefox from the Mozilla website, but the "virus" persists.

I can use the main site and log into https://login.metrolist.net fine. However, when I link into this particular site http://mls.realist.com/index.jsp it will freeze the entire browser. Note when the link opens, the circle with the i to the left of the padlock has a dot on it and the htpp(s) will disappear and turn everything on that link grey. This started probably a month or so ago. Now I can only use this website on explorer. You must run adobe flash for this site to work. I have the flash shockwave activated with no luck. I've re-installed firefox to see if that would troubleshoot the issue. No go!

This is only happening in Firefox.

After i click to download something, there is like 50% chance of it starting at 100% ot like 1% and never moving. Canceling and refreshing can change the moment it starts, i mean like from 100% to 1 % to 10%. But it still does not move and there is no chance it actualy starts normaly by refreshing the download. I can still click on the download link and there is still chance of it actualy working but i literaly needed to click 30 times on one link for it to download. I recently started to copy links to explorer and downloading from there.

Also is it normal that if i click more than one link in like 2 seconds it only downloads one of them?

PS: I guess the image isn't uploading, i dont know why, i refreshed the site and the image is less than 1MB so,,,

Best regards
