Today we have started getting the following error when trying to access bing.com

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to www.bing.com. Invalid OCSP signing certificate in OCSP response. Error code: SEC_ERROR_OCSP_INVALID_SIGNING_CERT

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

What is strange is that this is happening (1) only in Firefox, and (2) only on some of our computers. We have a mixture of wired and wireless computers on our home network. I have checked computer times. Firefoxes are all running 53.0.3 on Windows 7. Setting security.ssl.enable_ocsp_stapling to false resolves the issue, but only while the setting is false.

Thanks for your help!

This problem is weirdly specific, I have tried other browsers and firefox is the only thing affected, so its firefox specific. When I first open firefox, firefox itself opens and loads within seconds perfectly fine, I can do things with it offline perfectly fine (like using it to open a file) But when I try to go to any website, it takes ages to load and function normally. It doesnt even matter how many tabs I open, I can load one website, or three, it takes the same amount of time.

Once it has loaded the website(s) it functions completely normally! I can load new websites or pages just fine, and everything works perfectly, until I close firefox and open it again. Its driving me insane because I'm not going to just leave firefox open at all times (This is a gaming PC, I try to not have too many unnecessary programs running in the background)

I have tried several things, I reset firefox, didnt work. I have reset my PC, didnt work. I ran firefox in safe mode...worked! So it must be a add-on or extension, right? ...Nope, turned them all off one by one and every time it didn't work. (I only run uBlock anyway)

So whatever the issue is, has something to do with something safe-mode would prevent/turn off, but not add-on's/extensions.

EDIT: Forgot to also mention, I tried clearing cache/cookies/history as well, so pretty much everything short of a completely clean re-install of firefox with none of my personal data, but hoping to avoid the nuclear option if I can.

fire fox desktop goes black. just the desktop not the task bar or taps on display, just the display. I checked my settings and scanned the fire fox program for virus found nothing. I need to shut-down and restart to get my screen back and of course anything that was being displayed is gone. It happens on any site I'm on at the time.

For the past week or so I have been unable to play any Netflix videos in Firefox. Netflix works fine in other browsers and all other video streaming sites I've tried in Firefox still work. Initially the problem was that I would just get stuck on the red loading circle, however, after updating Firefox to the latest version (version 53), I now get an error message on Netflix telling me to check I have the latest version of Firefox, with an error code, F7702-1003. A solution posted from about a year ago involving changing the path in profiles.ini did not help, nor did removing pluginreg.dat.

I would be grateful for any assistance.

I have read all related post and tried the suggested solutions but didn't manage to solve the issue. In fact when I right-click in any text box containing more than one line, the menu doesn't even list the choice "check spelling", as explained here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-use-firefox-spell-checker

I just installed Firefox (53.0.3) and I'm on Windows 10.

I am a linguist and I am coming back to Mozilla because, from previous experiences, it handles several languages much better than other browsers! Provided that I manage to activtae the language management option...... so thanks in advance for your help!

I have an issue where when I move my browser window from monitor A to monitor B, the window renders as just a large white rectangle where the menu bar and tabs used to be, and a large black rectangle, where the window normally would be. To reproduce this effect, simply perform the following steps:

1) Launch browser and have it show up on monitor A. Note that everything is fine. 2) Move browser window to monitor B. Note everything is fine. 3) Move browser back to monitor A. Note that it does not render properly, just two rectangles and the minimize/maximize/close buttons.

No attempt to minimize/maximize or force the window to redraw seems to help. Only closing and restarting the browser causes a change.

The specifics of my setup: Windows 10 Pro 1703 build 16199.1000 Firefox version 53.0.3 (32-bit) Monitor A has a resolution of 3440x1440 (scaling at 100%) Monitor B has a resolution of 3480x2160 (scaling at 150%) They are configured as an Extended monitor

I will play around with the various settings to see if it is related to different scaling modes, etc. but thought I would simply write this up as an FYI. The Microsoft Edge browser does not show the same behavior, and renders properly regardless of which monitor it is on.

I installed the latest version of Firefox on my new Windows 10 laptop. Some sites including google.com and some Mozilla pages are giving me "your connection is not secure" errors. I do not get those errors on the laptop with IE or Edge, and I do not get the errors on my Windows 7 desktop PC running an earlier version of Firefox. I had FF set to be the default browser on the new laptop so out of frustration I uninstalled FF. What could be causing these messages on reputable websites?

IE connects OK on the PC where this is a problem. I can connect using Firefox on a different computer. Just prior to this occurring two bad passwords were entered. The third connected. Next time a connection was attempted this failure occurred.
