I've specifically set my banks website listed as an option to not save the password.

This morning when signing into my bank the password field was populated and I discovered a saved password for that website within options.

This is unacceptable.

Why is v38.0 so prone to crashing, and why was it apparently rushed out of beta too early?

Since upgrading from v37.0.2 this morning (using the full installer, not the stub installer), v38.0 has crashed repeatedly -- probably 7-8 times, sometimes in rapid succession. Seems that it might be an unhappy coincidence with yesterday's release of Flash v17.0.0.188, or that some incompatibility in handling Flash activity is producing the application's unexpected terminations.

The latest download of Foxfire isn't working for me. I try to delete cookies but cannot see the delete button that is associated with deleting cookies. All the examples show it being there but I can't get to it. Is this a bug in Foxfire as it relates to Windows 8? Is Foxfire preparing a bug release. I didn't have this problem until the latest release. None of the work arounds proposed by others works.

So it's my understanding that the 64 bit Firefox version for Windows has been released, and it's some sort of Developer Edition.

  1. 1.) Because i am using Windows 64 bit does that mean when i update Firefox it automatically will update to 64 bit Firefox version or do i need to uninstall the Firefox i am using and re-install it with the 64 bit Firefox version if i want to use the 64 bit?
  1. 2.) Because i am using Windows 64 bit, should i be using 64 bit Firefox version?
  2. 2a.) What are the advantages of using 64 bit Firefox version?
  3. 2b.) What are the advantages of this developer edition and do i need it?
  1. 3.) The Firefox version i am using is up to date.. I have about 50+ tabs open. If i need to delete this version of Firefox, then install this 64 bit Firefox version will i lose my profile, the 50+ tabs i have open, and will i need to reinstall my add-on?

I had two questions. One, Firefox always remembers history no matter what I do. I must run Ccleaner to clear Firefox history. Two, on many web sites there is no vertical navigation bar. These issues have not been answered. Now I only use Firefox to download Youtube videos and use Internet Explorer 11 for everything else. IE is more secure with all history easy to erase without resorting to Ccleaner. This is too bad, as otherwise I enjoy using Firefox more than IE or Chrome. If there is any solution to the two issues I have with Firefox, I would like to see them.

I have the latest Firefox running in Windows 8.11 on an hp laptop.

I am running Windows Vista. After upgrading to v.38 Firefox, I am forced to use tabs when a click a link. I want to have that link open in a NEW WINDOW for a fricking tab. Why did you not provide that option in v.38?

Furthermore, when a tab opens, there is no ability to scroll down in the tab, nor control that tab window. WHY DID YOU DO THIS???

Lastly, how can I downgrade Firefox to v.37? I want my windows back!!! You are forcing me back to IE or the dreded Chrome.

HEEEELLLPPPP!

These are instructions for fixing an issue with Firefox Bookmarks and apparently several other issues as well. Anybody got an intelligent answer for how closing firefox in the middle of ANYTHING is helpful in anyway shape or form while trying to get any information from the Internet? And no it does not say to open IE or another browser before completing these instructions.

I have a financial abo which send me notifications to buy or sell on the stock market. Because timing is essential, I would like to be notified on receiving a new email for a particulare email address which is repeated every minute until I read the new message. Is something like that easy to implement?

This is similar to the answered question /questions/1064249#answer-734427 I have not closed this as a duplicate as the comment about an acoustic warning may be different and significant.

Okay, I post the same question with a screenshot.

When I click + to open a new tab, that tab only shows the address bar, no search box! This problem creates suddenly. Before, this problem, when I opened a new tab it shows address bar and google search box. Now, the address bar of new tab page worked as both search box and address bar. I have followed about:config process and it's worked. But, when I start my computer after few hours again I see that problem! What can I do? Please tell me. I have attached an image for your understanding.

I recently tried the add on ZenMate, and hated it, so I quickly uninstalled it. However, it now ALWAYS changes my proxy settings to manual, inserts it's own script, and causes firefox to not connect on startup. Even if I change it back to no proxy or any other setting, upon restarting firefox, it still resets it to it's script.

Can anyone help? I have uninstalled it completely, tried finding any traces of it in the registry or elsewhere to no avail. I can't manually change every single time I want to start firefox as you can imagine.

Recently, I noticed when I am using an online editor, filling out a tech support form, etc., I am getting code added at the bottom of the text box. For example:

521

Even thought the style is set to "display:none;" it shows up sometimes.

I have tried replicating the problem in IE, Safari and Chrome. It does not occur.

I ran Firefox with all add-ons disabled. It still occurred.

I do a lot of work in WordPress for clients. When I start a new post or page, it just appears. I have to switch to code view, delete the code, then save while still in code view. As soon as I switch to "visual" mode, the code reappears. I have to remember to always check and delete this code.

This is driving me crazy. I see other people posting all over with this same problem and I've found no answer.
