When I right click a tab and select Bookmark Tab, the "Location" is preselected from one of my existing bookmark folders/locations. I thought it might adapt to the most recent or most often selected folder; however, it seems to present the same "default" location every time I bookmark a tab - a folder I have not barely used in months. I realize I can select another folder, but it is annoying for it to select the LEAST used and my personal least favorite folder EVERY TIME, for MONTHS.

1) Is there a way to select which folder it preloads to save bookmarks to? 2) Why is it selecting THAT folder? 3) If there is no way to set a folder, is there a way to reset it or something? ANY other folder to default to would be less annoying. I do not understand why it seems "stuck" on this folder and will not preload ANY other folder from the dozens of folders.

This seems to happen sometimes with Firefox Developer 130.0b9 on macOS 14.6.1 —

While holding down ⌘ (cmd) key and clicking a link, such as a Google search result, the link opens in the same window, rather than a new tab. The same goes for private browser windows.

This doesn't seem to happen on all websites (such as this one), so I don't know what the conditions are for opening links in new tabs where it does or does not work. Any insights?

I research a lot of topics and admittedly have tons of bookmarks in tons of folders. I've used Firefox probably for ten years.

I can save new bookmarks on my desktop PC, but about a week ago, it's gotten harder and harder to save on my Macbook. I've cleared the cache many times, turned off all extensions. Shut down Firefox then reloaded it, and shut down my Macbook, which is the only time I'm able to save any bookmarks.. then it reverts back to not being able to save any.

What's going on, and how do I fix it?

Since this morning I cannot access Lastpass vault in Firefox. I still seem to be signed in and Lastpass is filling password forms. But when I go to the vault I just get a blank screen. It continued to work ok on chrome but I use FF for most of my everyday browsing. I believe that FF was just updated yesterday.

All of a sudden, my extensions icons, site icons and some images in every page are very very dark or pitch black. I haven't change anything in themes other than changing the theme of the browser after installing it.

In the attached images, you can see how the Mozilla site icon is rendered by Firefox Stable, Firefox Nightly in Recovery Mode without my account being signed in and Google Chrome. The other screenshot is the extension toolbar with extension icons being rendered all black instead of their true color.

I'm having an issue with Firefox and could use some help. When I use the Babbel application (and sometimes other websites), the page doesn't display at all. Even when I refresh, nothing changes. However, when I open the same link in Google Chrome, it works perfectly.

I tried logging in with a brand-new Firefox account, and the page displays without any issues. So, I suspect that one of my extensions might be causing this problem on my main account.

However, I don't want to delete my cookies because it's really inconvenient to re-enter the passwords for websites I use frequently.

Does anyone have suggestions on how I can identify the extension or setting that might be causing the issue without having to delete my cookies?

FFX 130.0.1 macOS 15.0 (This has nothing to do with the new macOS 15.0 Sequoia update as I have been using it for a week with absolutely no problems). This is absolutely a problem with Firefox or NextDNS. Thanks for your help in advance.

Woke up this morning and suddenly FFX is timing out when trying to access ANY site. Has been working fine - NO changes made to any settings. This literally came out of nowhere. Seems to be a DNS resolving issue. I get a time out with this error message:

Starting last night, Microsoft wants me to login with my username and password. However, it will not allow me to input those factors. I have Windows 11 and am using a new desktop cube made by KAMRUI. I detest the control Microsoft is forcing on me. Can I delete my MS account? I don't use their products. Also, I am disgusted by their manipulation and invasion of my privacy. What are my options, in this case?

If I want to edit a URL or type one in or just use the address bar as a search bar, the field converts to a light blue highlight as soon as I click on it. I am no longer able to see what I am typing or to check what is there. No type shows up at all, even if I highlight it, though I know it is there.

The first screenshot shows what I see as soon as I click on that field. Before clicking, I will see the URL.

The second screenshot shows what happens when I try this on a new page without a URL already in the bar. After a few characters, what I'm typing appears in a little popup right below the address bar. I assume this is normal. But if I want to see or revise a URL, I am not able to see it in order to do so.

I can’t figure out how to fix this! Any ideas?

This is a continuing problem that showed up on version 127, maybe 128, and continued through 129, and now to 130.0.

Attempts using Firefox to play movies at HD (highest 6GB data resolution) fail. Using, for example, the Edge browser works fine. This problem showed up as noted in the first sentence of this post. Manually changing an obscure "about:config" variable from 1 to 0 did not fix the problem.

I just updated to 130.0, immediately tried to play a movie at highest resolution, it failed. Changed the obscure variable from the value it had, 0, to 1 and it failed still. Changed it back to 0 and it failed.

I updated Firefox yesterday and today I cannot access any comment sections on stories (Yahoo). I have re-booted my computer and cleared my cache. I looked at my privacy and security section of Firefox, but couldn't see anything that might affect this. In the past, I sometimes have to re-load the page to access the comments, but that is not working either. Here is the message that shows up: Oops, something went wrong :( We detected some connectivity issues therefore we’re unable to load the Conversation

Comments were working fine before the Firefox update.

Any suggestions?

I run G-mail in a Firefox tab. It worked perfectly until 48 hours ago. Now I cannot attach any files to my emails, and Gmail's "Help" is useless. Is there anything in FF which could be preventing this? Any clues as to why GM has turned nasty?

Whenever i try to upload a file on macOS to Firefox the browser doesn't respond, making me have to force quit it.

I have a MacBook Pro M1 running the latest version. I am not sure what is causing this issue.

My first name is Joachim and my last name has three parts: "von zur Gathen". Small v and z, capital G. My entry in "saved names" is (correctly) Joachim von zur Gathen. But when an application calls for it, "Joachim von" is (incorrectly) provided as my first name. How do I edit my saved name so that it is displayed correctly? Since version 122 there is a problem with installing the Szafir SDK Web extension. It is necessary to be able to submit signatures online. After installing version 121, I was able to add the extension. After updating Firefox to version 130, the Szafir SDK Web extension still works, wich is good. The problem is that not everyone will handle it this way.

I tried adding the extension manually, but the same message is always returned. "The add-on cannot be installed because it appears corrupted."

Is there any solution to this problem?

my tabs are crashing all the time whenever i try to open it.this thing is happening from a month as whenever i try to open some tabs for my work its showing that "gah! your tab just crashed!"...... please sovle this problem as fast as possible
