I am using theme called WhiteSur to imitate Safari, as that is the browser layout I prefer. However, this doesn't change the position of the close tab button and leaves it on the right hand side. I found a way to change it, using the code .tabbrowser-tab .tab-close-button {

 margin-left: -5px !important;
 margin-right: 2.5px !important;

} Unfortunately, this doesn't change based on the size of the tab, so if I set it to a size that is good for only having 1 tab, it will look bad or be off the screen for the other amounts of tabs. Is there a way to detect the width of the tab or the amount of tabs open and dynamically set the margins based off of this? So I could set it as (width-of-tab)-x and that would always keep the close tab button in the same spot, regardless of tab size. Thanks!

I keep getting notifications asking me to update firefox every couple of days. I download the update, it goes smoothly, the notification disappears, but it comes back in a day or two. I also have my setting to supposedly do updates automatically, but that doesn't seem to be working. Please help!

I am running Windows 10 (64-bit) Version 22H2 OS build 19045.4355 with the Firefox browser v125.0.3 and since updating to the latest Firefox version I am no longer able to load more than 17 Tradingview tabs and the Tradingview tabs I do upload take a long to to refresh or to save changes too. I do not have this issue using other browsers.

I can no longer play any podcast since upgrade to 125.0.3 The arrow/button to play any podcast is neutral, is not active. Or, on spotify if finding a podcast on gardening, clicking the play button plays something on a completely different topic.

Workflow: I have a firefox instance already running. I want to launch a new firefox in safe-mode to test something without disrupting my existing firefox.

Problem: I try to launch a new firefox in safe mode using `firefox --safe-mode`, but firefox just opens a new window NOT in safe mode.

I think it may because firefox in safe-mode requires launching launching from a new instance rather than attaching to existing instance.

`firefox --help` shows a flag I can use:

--new-instance Open new instance, not a new window in running instance. --safe-mode Disables extensions and themes for this session.

So I run `firefox --safe-mode --new-instance`

now I get error popup with message:

"Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To use Firefox, you must first close the existing Firefox process, restart your device, or use a different profile."

Now I think what is the point of the flag "new-instance" if Firefox doesn't support multiple instances?

Regardless, how can I launch firefox in safe-mode without disrupting my existing firefox instance and without relying on creating a profile just for this?

I'm having trouble using a particular site, that I used to be able to in particular clicking on sub menu's from a context menu if that is the correct term, meaning I cannot click an item/button to reveal a menu below it. From the image supplied there are 2 'menu's' with a < character that when clicked should reveal a sub menu of items, works in Edge/Chrome etc.. the only extension I have is Keeper.

I've been using the same firefox (installed every update) for over 10 years now and a lot of bookmarks have been accumulated. They are from different sources for different reasons/subjects/interests etc... I think when I reached ~430.000 or something like that it really slowed firefox down in a way that even clicking on a folder in the "bookmark symbol bar" (the one underneath the URL address fiel) takes 2-3 sec to open up and show the containing bookmarks. In the bm-manager going from one folder to another also takes a few seconds. I've now deleted about 40.000 but no change it's still lagging. and deleting 1000 takes about 1h.

I've looked but so far I couldn't find another tool or a better way to manage all these URLs WITH their title.

I still want to keep them, but managing them has become so slow and tedious. So if you have any suggestions especially for other tools to manage them....

I also think the possibility to export only a part of them (selected ones, or specific folders) would be helpful; maybe also a tool to clean up the database? (like defrag did for harddrives?). or split it to differnt files? I don't know.

I know 400.000 bookmarks are extreme... but well....

My yahoo homepage on firefox looks totally different than it did last week. Chrome and edge still look like the home page should but firefox does not. I screen shared with yahoo and they said it was a firefox issue. Anyone know how to make the homepage look like chromes and edge? I added pics from edge and firefox for comparison.

Something in Mozilla's latest update to version 125.0.3 caused a problem with Hotmail only displaying a message, but when I click on the message, I can only see the title, NOT the body of the message. I have NO issues with a Windows computer. What can I do so I can see the body of the message?

With the exception of the Home and Catalog pages in the yotsuba theme, all boards default to black and only on Firefox, not Safari or Chrome browsers.

Any idea how to fix this? I'm looking to get back my default Yotsuba theme.

How default new page sites are selected? Is it possible to propose a new one?

I thought that featuring https://www.openstreetmap.org/ may be interesting (it is a Wikipedia of maps - with open data dataset contributed by various people, that anyone can edit and is already quite useful).

I think that it may be of interest for Firefox users.

I cannot open any Games on the NY TImes site with FIrefox for the past month; no problem with Chrome. Today, two article links opened but then the page went blank (repeatedly), while other links worked fine. Again, no problem with Chrome. My wife can't get into proxyvote.com with Firefox--again, a blank screen. Where is this weirdness coming from?

Hello:

I have installed and enabled sync under the same Mozilla account on my desktop and laptop. The only thing that seems NOT to sync between them is my add-ons. There was no sync error log when I checked. I have already tried logging out and logging back into my Mozilla account on both computers, turning off my antivirus real-time protection, double-checking my sync settings, and restarting both my computers.

This issue is beyond frustrating. Does anybody have any additional suggestions to save my sanity by correcting this issue? I would appreciate any assistance that is provided! Thank you!

Instagram page won't load. Doesn't load in Edge either. The proxy setting is off. It was loading yesterday, then today it won't. No malware detected by Mcafee or Spyhunter. My account is working fine from my phone.

I do not get my emails on my desktop. My email address ends with ---@ comcast.net. I can be reach via text on my Iphone. Thanks, Al Mizrahi
