My Wife's computer - still on Windows 10 - says it can't start Firefox as it is still running, hitting the "close Firefox now" button just returns us to the same screen. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Firefox it tried to do a "reinstall" it says her profile is no longer available, while inconvenient she still should be able to start it up, but it still gives me the same message. that it is still running and needs closed. Trying to "close it doesn't do anything. I have restarted several times and even did a shut down and restart. Nothing seems to work. I assume some "stub" of Firefox is out there in the system/cache making Firefox think it is is still active but I can't find it to shut it down. Where do I need to go to "end task" on this phantom Firefox?

Other information: 1. We have Norton Security software installed, if that matters. 2. The same seems to happening to Thunderbird, but maybe I need to go to another help forum for that? 3. I am entering this issue from my computer that seems to be just fine with Firefox, so can't send browser data as it is irrelevant to the issue (it's on a different computer and install instance.

My old email keeps showing up when Firefox is trying to auto fill email. How do I change that in Firefox. Same with addresses, My mailing address is shown in many different ways, all variants of my actual address.

Also, I have some kind of browser hijacker (BING) that keeps directing me to Bing website. I have tried the standard procedures as outlined, bu t still BING often redirects my searches. I am also working with my anti-virus people to try to correct, but thought I would ask you as well. Here's where it took me when I searched for cookies (like you bake in the oven): "https://www.bing.com/search?ptag=ICO-86655dbd68d344bb&form=INCOH1&pc=1AWL&q=cookies"

After updating to Beta 122.0b3 (64-bit), the active tab is now highlighted with a simple white outline instead of the coloring surrounding the address bar. My selected theme has not changed, and the same goes for all of my extensions. I could not find this change in the 122.0b Release Notes.

If this behavior is intentional, is there any option to return to the previous behavior (including in about:config)?

Every time I am trying to search, google is always pinned on my search bar, and I want to get rid of it. How can I remove google? (On the image I marked the issue with a red circle)

The USPS website does not work properly with Firefox!! The Home page loads okay but there are multiple other issues with links not working. For instance all of the links under Quick Tools do not work except this one: https://www.usps.com/manage/po-boxes.htm. Other things don't work either.

Everything works fine that I tried with Google Chrome though! Please address soon.

Why can't Firefox copy text to the clipboard anymore? It won't copy text from a web page, from a URL, or even from about:support "Copy text to clipboard"!!! I'm using version 1.22 64 bit on windows 11. I've reinstalled Firefox but it doesn't make a difference. I've tried "Troubleshoot Mode" and it's still broken!!!

I can paste into Firefox but something has broken copy!

The layout on the Roblox website, https://www.roblox.com Has appeared to break, I've seen the website on Google chrome and Microsoft Edge and it's good to go. I am not aware as to how this has happened. I have disabled every Addon I have, This issue is not caused by the Addons I have installed.

What the title says, and unfortunately I'm not sure why. If a theme isn't perfectly looped, it's...really noticeable. And I hate how ugly some themes turn out as a result. I don't want to start sticking my hands directly into firefox's advanced settings, since I don't know much about them and don't want to risk accidentally deleting or messing with something important, but I'd really like to get this fixed somehow... Is it just the themes I'm picking? Are they supposed to all be skewed off to the side? Or is something off with my browser? Maybe my resolution's weird or something...?

i imported Firefox bookmarks to Firefox on another user account and i am not getting thumbnails! Both on bookmark's bar and inside bookmark browser :/

I updated to the latest version of firefox and am not pleased with the translation tool automatically detecting the wrong language on sites. Is there any way to fully disable it? I currently have no languages installed yet it pops up offering to "translate".

Can not install google translate on my toolbar. When clicking the "puzzle" to access extensions google translate is there but it's greyed out, thus not accessible, when clicking on it there are no options to pin to toolbar as other extensions have that option, clicking on options if shows "manage extension" " remove extension" and " report extension"

Firefox will not allow my to post comments on Yahoo. I have no issues with Chrome or Safari. I get the following error message: Your comment failed to publish. Retry

There used to be an extension called "IE Tab". It allowed you to right click on the link, and open the site in a tab, using Internet Explorer, for sites that didn't work properly in Firefox. I was wondering if anybody knows of any similar extension that would do the same for Edge? I can't open Twitter (X) using Firefox anymore, but I can open it using Edge. I don't like Edge (obviously), but I have no choice. Thanks in advance!!!

I am using Firefox 120.0.1, and I have difficulty to take screenshot.

I tried to press shortcut key and button in toolbar as shown in the attached image, but they didn't work.

I am a single user of Firefox 123.0 (64 bit) on a Windows 11 desktop, Win 11 laptop, and Android phone. If I use Profile Manager to delete both of the the Profiles from my desktop ("default" and "default-release"), will that have any effect on my laptop or phone? Specifically, will I lose my passwords and bookmarks on all devices, or just the desktop?

Also, can I delete one of my two profiles? If so, which one? When I navigate to Users\Bill\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles, I see four folders:
