Hi, I need to use alt+scroll to zoom in and out on a website I use regularly. However, often, I will use alt+scroll to zoom out and end up leaving the session as firefox backs out to the previous page. This means that I have to spend a long time logging back in and loading my page.

I have tried shortkeys, but it doesn't seem to support modifying shortcuts using the scroll wheel.

How can I disable this shortcut?

So I just updated to version 106.0.1, and I noticed something new in the far right corner of the screen, an arrow with a dropdown function listed as view all tabs. I have no need for this and tried to use the customize toolbar option to remove it. It did not work. How do I get rid of this thing? It's just kinda taking up space on the screen as I doubt I'm ever gonna use it.

Any tips here?

This isn't that important, but I was just experimenting to see if changing a few folder colors would be of any benefit to me. And the above code that I tried didn't work. I'm guessing that something changed with Mozilla Firefox in the last 1-1.5 years, and I have a feeling that if I dig into https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/Attribute_selectors for hours or even days I won't be able to figure out what I need to change. I am in the USA. Every time, on any page or website that I need to provide credit card info, when I click in the box to type in the CC numbers/expiration date/CCV, a window pops up as it should (for auto-fill) with my credit card information. In that window, I can scroll over the different credit cards, click on the one I want to use, and it SHOULD auto-fill into the box where the numbers would normally be typed in. Now, the window still pops up and I can scroll over the credit cards and choose one, but when I click on any of the particular credit cards, the auto-fill doesn't work. The boxes in "settings" are checked to allow auto-fill. It worked for months, then just stopped. Thanks for your assistance!

I "upgraded to V90. since then, the URL box is highlighted red/grey stripes. The robot head icon is now in the URL box and it says "Browser is under remote control (reason Dev Tools). I've gone in about:config and set all variables to False, yet they reset themselves to true every time. How do I disable the DevTools. Thanks

I am using Firefox 84.0.2 (64-bit) on Win 10 Pro and the menu font size and toolbar icons are minuscule, even on my 32" monitor.

I found a fix for this same problem in Thunderbird, but I don't see any way to make the menu fonts and toolbar icons bigger in Firefox. This has nothing to do with web sites, just the menu/bookmarks, toolbar icons, etc.

How do I save webpage on desktop as shortcut. Online reponse speaks of padlock. I don't see padlock. And Mozilla site answers with how to stop creating shortcut automatically.

Hello! I am using the userChrome.css file to hide the nav bar (# nav-bar) and show it when hovering the tabs.

The following code works a bit, but when I open the developer tools they overlap.

In my opinion, App Mode is a very useful feature that allows installing a website as an app. However, I am unable to see any option related to App Mode in 95.0.2 (64-bit). Could you please help me about this issue?

After a forced update, firefox stopped giving the popup that lets you choose what to do with the file.

A temporary fix is to go into options and set "Always ask you where to save files", however this is clunky, and much much slower, so is there any way to get this popup back?

If not, then i will have to migrate to a different browser for safety, since this new "Feature" can be easily abused by hackers and malicious websites.

It seems that my vertical scroll bar is missing on most sites (not all, apparently, but at least 70-80% of sites). How do I fix this? I have searched the settings and forums, but cannot seem to find an answer? If you can direct me at it, would be great!

Type "about:config" into your address bar, then press "Enter." Look for the line that says "image.animation_mode" and double-click it. Change the mode to "normal" if it isn't already; if it says "once" or "none," animated GIFs will not load correctly.

and I'm set to normal I don't have any security software causing this that I know of how do I get my gif animation back?

Hello. I noticed that Firefox (98.0.2) doesn't even ask if the file should be saved or opened with a program when downloading some file types. Unfortunately, these file types (e.g. GPX) are not listed under Settings --> General --> Files and Applications, so that I could assign them to a program or specify that they should always be asked. And I can't add these files somehow... I have also deleted the file "handler.json" in the profile folder, hoping to be asked then. But that doesn't happen. GPX files, for example, are assigned to the GSAK program in the system - but Firefox just wants to save them and doesn't offer the option to open them directly in GSAK. Does anyone know advice how I can get Firefox to give me the choice? Thanks a lot.

This is more of a convenience issue but the new download panel pop-up from the download arrow is very distracting. I couldn't find an option to turn it off so I had to go into the config and turn the true flag false for this "improvement". Is there a better way of disabling this pop-up and if not will there be in future versions of firefox?

One time, when using MAC I accidentally set a website to always open in a different container. Now any time I attempt to launch this website, I receive the MAC prompt "Open this site in your assigned container?", where I have two options: Open in Current Container and Open in Assigned Container. There is also a checkbox labeled "Remember my decision for this site", however even if I tick this checkbox and select Open in Current Container, I still get this same prompt every subsequent time I visit this website.

Hey all, I just updated Firefox on PC and the updater asked a couple questions. I chose "Visionary" as the answer to a question because it suited me the best out of all the options. However, this also changed the colors of my browser menu and toolbar to green. The thing is, while green is a fine color, I would never select it as "my" color for anything ever.

I've tried to change the color in about:preferences, but nothing I can find seems to work. Any ideas?

I've been using Elijah Lopez's Matte Black (Red) theme for months. Recently, I think because I added the ClearURLs extension or some other change, certain websites enter some sort of "dark mode" when accessed.

Websites that do this include Twitter, an independent blog, and Youtube.

The website appears normally with the default light theme enabled. In the second photo, the website appears in the "dark mode" with the black Firefox theme enabled.

I have deleted cookies and cache, reinstalled Firefox, and reinstalled Extensions. I think this problem only occurs with dark themes, and nothing else. The moment I change to dark theme, the problem comes back. It is strange because the dark theme was working just fine for months until recently.

How can I keep the dark theme, preferably the same Elijah Lopez's dark theme, while using websites normally and not in this weird "dark theme" style adaptation?
