have downloaded firefox because google keeps throwing up adverts continuously. Firefox is doing the same so no better off and cannot use the search bar due to adverts saying I've been hacked

I have a few questions if you'd be willing to answer.

There have been some changes and new additions to the croatian dictionary (https://github.com/krunose/hunspell-hr) and as such, the Firefox dictionary could be updated.

Can you confirm that the dictionaries and language packs are separate additions and that the dictionaries are used for spellchecking? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/language-tools/

When is the spellcheck dictionary installed, only when the user installs it or when the user installs a language pack?

In addition, the croatian dictionary has not been active for the past eight years. I'm on FF 154.0. The power went out here and when it came back and I booted the desktop computer something had changed in FF.

I used to see the active tab as green in the tab bar and yellow for the rest, but now they're all gray until I mouse over the bar and only then does it turn green/yellow.

I struggled with this for many hours trying many //active tab color// solutions I found in searches but nothing got it back to my old behavior.

So as a last resort I tried adding the Firefox Color extension, but when I click Add to Firefox it just turns into a throbber that never changes so it doesn't install. I'm stuck!

Frustrated!!

I installed a Mozilla/FF GMail Notifier App. I tho't that I removed it as I no longer needed it. It still Notifies me; annoying. But it's not in my Extension List to Remove again if need be??? How can a hidden/invisible App be still operating, that is supposed to be Removed?

Since Mozilla/FF has no option to Delete a Question, I found the answer to the above posted. MY error: It was a Google Linked App, not the one I Removed which did indeed become Removed. Sigh!

Had my laptop serviced at Best Buy, but upon booting it up the icon for 1Password in the upper tool bar was missing. Trying to figure out how to add it back. I use Mozilla Firefox and have Windows 11.

I use Fireshot on my Mac to take screenshots and normally save as PDF. This works fine using Safari and Chrome browsers. However, using Firefox, when saving the screenshot as a PFD it uses file type 'All files' Up till now, I have been unable to open the file saved as an 'All files' document. But this morning, saving the capture as a PDF 'All files' type, has saved the document as a PDF.

QUESTION: Just using Firefox, why does saving a screen capture uses 'All files' when saving as a PDF. And has the issue been noted and resolved, but the All files file type still shown? NOTE: The drop-down arrow on Format does not offer any alternative.

For the last few days after an hour (or so) of use, browser windows try to load but don't finish. I checked the Mac activity monitor and see that FirefoxCP webextensions is hogging memory--8GB! MacOS 26.6.2, Firefox for mac 154.0.1. Did the same thing for MacOS26.5.2. Is AI doing in performance? How can I find what to turn off?

It just started 2 days ago that ublock extension cause proton password manager to stop on w10 browser. I've been using this combo few years but now proton will exit straight away I can't decide which one I could let go, I mean I love them both
