Tried everything Please help how to get back my bookmarks on Firefox on my Imac This sometimes happens when install overnight usually view..side bar...bookmarks works but not this time the toolbar bookmark shows empty????

Stupid mistakes were made - I reinstallted windows and when I opened firefox I realized, that I did not know my password and also was not sure about the mailadress. I finally found an account with my mailadress but reset the password - it said that all data in the account will be deleted if I do that.

I got the old files recovered, but everytime I copy paste the old key4, login and cert file... nothing changes withing the browser. If I copy the whole old profile folder and exchange it with the new one and then I open firefox it just says "profile could not be found" and then firefox closes.

Is there any chance of recovering my old saved passwords or did I screw up entirely ?

HOW MANY TIMES can Firefox lose my bookmarks......again and again and again. Restoring from a profile is stupid because all new bookmarks are still gone. This product used to be good...now it is so unreliable that I am switching to Edge which never loses my bookmarks. NO.....I DID NOT DO THIS!! YES, YOUR PROGRAM DID AGAIN. NO I ADDED OR DELETED NOTHING. IT IS IN FACT YOU!! Every time an update in installed I face this. I no longer have a single shred of confidence in this product. Every month or so...BAM....bookmarks gone again. RIDICULOUS. And you want donations for this?

I continue to receive this message when I open the browser. Fix "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional" error message

I have attempted to correct this with the various workarounds to no avail.

Anyone who can help with this?

My Bookmarks were missing and I had an error message so none of the topics you have listed seem appropriate. I found a 2 part fix on the internet (Part 1 - Open your profile folder and part 2 -Create a new data base). The result was removal of the error message and a few Bookmarks becoming available. Question is how to get the remaining Bookmarks?

Bookmarks seem to be missing from Firefox. I followed the advice up to part 2. That got rid of the error message but only a few Bookmarks were there. Is there any way I can get the rest of them back?

I have used firefox as my brouser on my PC for years with all my bookmarks and passwords. Now without my old computer, how do I restore all my account passwords and bookmarks as it was before.? I am using windows 11 on a Dell desktop PC. Please help. I am not a computer genius. Is there a phone number to call for live help.

I want to import the book marks from one computer to another. I can't sync them. I made an HTML file as instructed with the first computer. Moved the files via USB to the second computer desktop. Opened Mange Bookmarks. Clicked Restore, then Choose file. Nothing happened. No new window opened. ?? Tried Import Bookmarks from HTML, still no new window opened. Tried the Import function in my account. I was able to import my passwords. But it said that the HTML file did not have any HTML data. ?? Also it does not allow use of a json file.

I seemed to have lost all my decades of bookmarks on my Mac Firefox browser. Initially i thought it was just the bookmarks toolbar ones, then i realised it was all historical ones as well.

If i select "Manage bookmarks", they are all gone If i then select "Restore" followed by "choose file" nothing happens, no option to select anything

If i click on the far left had "star icon" and try and search for a bookmark, nothing is there either.

The only extention i have enabled is the malewarebytes browser guard Not installed anything else I generally have a lot of tabs open and they all seem to have re-appeared after the last firefox update and unplanned powercut. My account logged in icon is showing, i can still see all my saved passwords etc.

Any help would be apreciated, there is literally over 15 years worth i've lost

I have a laptop whose drive failed. I've got a new drive up and running and restored my data from Backblaze, but so far I have been unable to restore the tabs/history that I'd had open.

I would appreciate any help and/or directions you have to offer.

I started my computer this morning and mozzilla restarteed now all of my bookmarks are gone I didnt have a profile. now i am screwed i dont know how to get iut back help

As the title states, every time I restart my PC, Firefox deletes everything. Bookmarks, passwords, profiles, all of it. I'm really tired of having to hunt down backups and restoring/creating new profiles constantly. Is there any fix? I really like Firefox but if there isn't a fix I'll look into a different browser.
