Hello support, I don't want to be an hassle to you neither pose useless questions but this is my last resource before leave my problem unsolved, so i really hope you can help on this. As per subject I am trying to install add on GMX mailchecker 6.5.5 to Firefox release 95.0.1 (which i like most and don't like to change) but any time I try i get the error "the add on appears to be corrupted" - this happens also when I try to install themes (but it is not a big problem to me i like also your standard design) and any thing else. Now I switched to a gmx mail account also because i saw the option to have an add on for firefox (saying to be compatible with version from 46 onward) but I cannot solve how to install it correctly. When loaded as a temporary add on in debug mode it works really well but then on standard mode i cannot get to have it working. So far i have tried to -reinstall Firefox -install add on from a file -disable mandatory signature in advenced configuration -disable malware scanning while installing the addon BUT none of them worked in my situation. I believe there is an easy way of having it working and seeing it from the debug mode it seems also well integrated SO where am I wrong? Could you please advice me on how to solve this problem I am facing? Thanks a lot for your help, you understand i am not up to date with new web oriented programming but hope this doesn't matter much. (as a feedback for you: if you wonder why I want to stay with FFox 95 it is because I don't need ai features and dislike emoji ... otherwise your browser is excellent -still have a firefox 1 executable in my hard drive... still open it sometimes... ) Best regards, Filippo

Hey folks, just wondering when the Windscribe add‑on will be moved to the MV3 framework. Other browsers already have it at v4.x and I’d love to see Firefox catch up so we can use the new privacy features. Is there an ETA on the review/approval process? TIA

Hi. I just switched to Windows Defender for antivirus. On Google Chrome I had to add an extension so Defender will work with Chrome to detect malicious websites.

On the eicar.org website the test virus is stopped on the Microsoft and Chrome browsers, but not with Firefox.

How do I set up Defender to work with Firefox?

Thanks

I used to have the button right visible on my Toolbar and I used it often to toggle dark and light views of websites. Now it's disappeared off the toolbar. When I click the jigsaw piece button for Extensions it only shows a few, hardly all of my installed extensions. Only if i select Manage Extensions under the jigsaw will I see all my extensions, so then I can find Dark Reader and toggle its status on or off. That's an awkward multi-step process compared to just having the button showing. So how can I get the button back?

I've been extensively relying on the `Ctrl+Alt+X` shortcut to spin up the selected chatbot in the sidebar, but ever since I reset my pc (complete reset, cloud download of windows, clear all apps and files) and re-installed firefox, the keyboard shortcut isn't working for me anymore.

I installed firefox with chocolatey, upon noticing that the shortcut had stopped working, I tried to downgrade to v145, which didn't help either. So an uninstall and re-install later (this time manually downloading the installer exe), `Ctrl+Alt+X` still doesn't work. Although hovering over the chatbot's icon in the sidebar shows the shortcut in the tooltip.

More info: `choco uninstall firefox` created a backup of "Old Firefox Data" or something similar, could that have somehow persisted the malfunction across installs?

Any help would be appreciated! System: Windows 10 Pro Firefox: 146

Windows 10 After restarting computer, the bookmarks were missing (I somehow managed to get them back), the Instapaper and Bitwarden icons are missing from the menu bar and video's will not play (but will on play on MSN). While trying to figure this out, the Puzzle/Add-ons icon is also now missing. The instruction in the photo do match what I see when clicking on the Puzzle.

Hi!

I am using Firefox mostly because of the Extended Color Management plugin which allows me to see colours properly with SDR videos (properly = closer to what it was at colour grading). I was on macOS Monterey on my laptop and firefox stopped working a few weeks ago. Then it was on my desktop with macOS Tahoe. I recently made a clean install of my laptop. When I installed firefox, the software was working until I added all my former bookmarks, plugins etc. I installed things one by one and it seems that it's due to the Extended Color Management plugin. The software show a grey background. I can interact with the software: clic on links, make a research but I do not see anything. Also, I can't quit it. I am only able to force it to quit. In between Monterey and Tahoe, I have the same issue. In between a M1 MacBook and a M3 Mac Studio, I have the same issue. I do not have a Mac intel anymore to try... If I uninstall firefox and install it again, it works. But if I add the Extended Color Management plugin and activate it, it fails.

The problem is that I use firefox because of this plugin and for work. Do you know if firefox needs to update the plugin? Do you know a tricky way to avoid this issue?

Thank you in advance for your answers, and I wish you great celebrations. Charles.
