Please read this carefully before commenting to me. I do know some things about computers. And no, I will not get windows 11. I am very happy with windows 10 still. After the recent update I can no longer watch videos outside of Youtube. This is very annoying. I am getting error: 232011. I have gone into the Settings: Extensions and Themes: Extensions: No add ons turned on. I have deleted my cookies. I have reloaded, I have rebooted my computer after deleted cookies. It still says error 232011. This is my ONLY computer, no I cannot check this site on another one. No, I cannot check this site at the local library. Anything that is not Youtube that has videos gets block there at this time. I have no idea why, nor do I care. I have my own computer for this reason. However, I cannot use it if I keep getting this error.

WTF?! You guys do not even have a technical support category?!?!??!

The latest update has broken ebay.com.au. It works fine in private mode. It WILL NOT WORK in troubleshooting mode. Works fine in other browsers on the same Windows 10 PC. Ive also tried disabling addons and extensions, and even Pocket, as well as browsing protection (the shield icon). It just sits there saying "transferring data from ".... the next bit varies, but usually says ebay.com.au, or sometimes a different page, but it NEVER COMPLETES.

I get that it might have trouble with unusual code, but WTF is with firefox not working with EBAY?!

I used to have Firefox update itself using automatic updates, and occasionally I would manually trigger an update by checking the HELP>ABOUT menu. For some time now, I am getting an error message inside the ABOUT pop-up window. The current message is "Unable to check for updates due to internal error".

I've un-installed and re-installed several times. It doesn't happen on other computers I own where updates work just fine.

I tried searching, but couldn't find anything relevant

Any ideas how to fix this?

Prior to recent updates, Firefox tabs that were opened from a link on a webpage would always open right next to the current tab. Which was fine and wonderful. Sadly, following recent version updates new tabs opened from links now tend to 'wonder' off to the far end of whatever other links may have also been opened previously from that site. The problem with this new behaviour is that such tabs quickly become lost amongst the various branches of the tree as other links are opened in 'child' tabs of links that have gone before. In short, this new behaviour results in a complete confusing mess, especially as the newly opened tabs may end up so far off to the right that it's difficult to find the way back to the page they were opened from! Please could you at least provide an option so the user can set new links to open right next to the current tab, as they used to do, rather than some no doubt logical but nonetheless baffling and impractical location some 6, 21 or even more tabs away from the current tab. I have made a few attempts in the past hour to change my email address BUT there is no option to do so ("edit" or change") on the change page. How do I go about making the change; I currently use [edited] 5@gmail.com. I want to change my email to: [edited] @proton.me. Thank you! Ross Gudgel

I use Firefox on my Asus laptop running Windows 10. It's one of these laptops with both integrated and dedicated graphics (Intel plus Nvidia).

I often experience this issue when putting a video in full-screen (especially when viewing trailers on Steam, but this may just be because I mainly use my Windows laptop for gaming, and thus most of my video consumption here is from steam). This screen will briefly (for less than one second) turn black and audio will pause before the video appears in full-screen, and playback resumes normally.

It "feels" like a GPU switch is taking place, I'd assume from the integrated graphics to the GeForce card. This is not the proble. The issue appears when I return from full-screen mode. I always have several Command Prompts open with SSH connections to my Linux server and sometimes my MacBook Pro. These windows are now empty. That is, all text is gone, and I can no longer interact with the sessions. They're not "broken," as in they're not saying "Not responding" and don't ask to be forcefully closed, they're just black windows with borders around them. All I can do is close them all down and open new ones to reconnect and start over from where I think I remember I was.

I should note that this doesn't ONLY happen with Firefox videos going into full-screen, it has also happened after launching a game and returning to the desktop. This strengthens my belief that this has to do with GPU switching and/or video "mode" change(s).

Assuming I'm correct (my IQ is 5,000 and I do do the very big brians), is there any way to control how videos go into full-screen in Firefox? Or "lock it" to a specific GPU? I've rummaged through about:config and haven't seen anything that seems directly relevant.

I've already tried using the Windows settings to tell the system that Firefox.exe should use the integrated Intel graphics only, but this has no effect.

I remember I used to use "Media Player Classic" many years ago, and it had a slew of options of how to render full-screen video. IIRC, it had stuff like "Overlay," "Windowed," "Windowed borderless," "DirectX," etc. This make me wonder if there's multiple ways of chosing how to render video in full-screen, then maybe one could direct Firefox to use a different one than the default and my problem might disappear? Or maybe one could tell Windows that if an app wants to go into full-screen video mode, Windows should pick a specific mode for it?

I'm not a Windows developer, so I don't know :) But I'm hoping someone has a good tip, because I'm finding myself using this system more and more, and this is my biggest problem with it currently.

I recently noticed in Firefox Settings the statement --- "Your browser is being managed by Your organization".

When I clicked on that statement and printed off the information, that information was apparently about "Enterprise Policies", the management is "Active", the Policy Name is "certificates", the Policy Value is "ImportEnterpriseRoots", and then it is "true". I do not understand the message that is being shared here. Does Firefox understand it? If Firefox does understand it, would you mind sharing your understanding with me?

What is "ImportEnterpriseRoots"? What is its function? Concerning the statement, "Your browser is being managed by Your organization", what is meant by the words, "Your organization" and what is meant by the word, "managed".

To rid myself of "ImportEnterpriseRoots", will I need to rid myself of Firefox?

I can create a help page if it means anything to replace this technically and procedurally incorrect and misleading post. I saw it right away but for a newbie to firefox it could send them away screaming in frustration. A help webpage to address this question would be helpful and I can create one if needed. I signed into mozilla firefox on my father's computer at his home. I was visiting for the week and forgot my laptop. I logged his firefox account, then signed in with my details. Now I am seeing all of my father's login credentials when I am logged in to my firefox account at my home. I am not sure how it happened but I would like to not see my father's credentials for every website. Thank you.

Okay, Mozilla Firefox seems to be very safe. BUT then you took away so much that now I have to have extensions to do what I want. But every time I go to look at an extension, I see a warning that Firefox does not monitor it for safety or security. So basic - Firefox is no longer safe and I cannot have a good experience unless I take a risk? Why can't Firefox have its own extensions?? How can I determine that an extension is safe before it is too late?

Hi I'm trying to download large files but they keep failing due to problems at the host. I can resume the download when this happens but I don't want to keep doing this. Is there any way to auto-resume?

This is the first time I've ever written to you about anything, but I don't know what to do next

I have an account [I think it's a mozilla account, not exclusively for firefox] but I think instead of using the one account, there might be one or two devices signed into another account. I have multiple domains and I think an account for my email address on two of them: [edited] @incorrigo.com and [edited] @incorrigo.me

Now I've added a new domain to my project, and purchased a decent SSL certification: [edited] @incorrigo.io

What I want to ask you is: - do I have two accounts running with the two email addresses above? + if yes, are they configured to work together in such a way that no action from me is needed? + if yes, can they be merged to create one new account: [edited] @incorrigo.io [provided that I can clear security for both existing accounts] + if they can't be merged into a new account, what do I need to do in order to go about doing this myself? - can you give me more information? that's specific to: (a)sync tabs / settings across devices; (b) saving my bank card details so they can be used without having to go and find my bank card [which is in safe keeping somewhere for me]; (c) saving various login, password, session details; my personal privacy [client-side]

I understand that this is probably an unusual problem but if I can merge and recover such details [you don't even need to create a new account, if I could just import what I need from the least-used one, into the most-used one]

If I have Spotify paused in a tab, and i change to a different tab for even a second, when I return, it is stuck in a Firefox loading screen. I have to extensions that effect Spotify Browser player. This has been happening for about three or four days. Firefox is up to date.
