I am repeatedly getting this pop up window after starting my computer and selecting the Firefox icon in the toolbar to start the browser. When using the Firefox browser I always update Firefox when prompted, so it should be the latest version, unlike what it states in the popup window. If I want to use the browser, I have to sign in to the browser and sync my data and I have to re load all my tabs from my history. It is time consuming to the point where my colleagues who were using Firefox have uninstalled Firefox and are now using a different browser. I could do the same...but I want a solution. I'm using Windows 11.

I update my browser often but still seem to get tons of update alerts. Do you update that often? I wonder if these alerts are a scam so when i get them I go to the Mozilla site and download the latest version. Why don't you just have an "update" button or something is it really necessary to download the whole thing every, what seems like, week?

While using Debian 12 on two workstations running version 136 the "update available" would appear on the screen and remain on the screen with no option to update or cancel.

Because this happened on 2 Debian 12 workstations, i would like to know if this is a known problem as I updated 139.01 an the issue continues.

You will noticed in the screen capture update available has no options other than "learn more"

All - I was terrified to sign off my computer last nite, in the event that shutting down would make my missing bookmarks disappear into the ozone layer. But, I did so at midnite. Woke up this morning and when I logged in - BAMM - my bookmarks were all right where they should be, my recent activity history was there so I am here to announce it had to be a user error! Before I noticed the bookmarks were MIA, I had gone thru the setting and review all were as they should be but I never did a restart to make sure all the settings were applied. So when I shut down at midnight, that must have acted as a reboot.

I am getting a new memory stick to back those bookmarks up today and this is resolved!!!

_________________________________________________________________________________________________ An update was installed on April 29, and for the first time, ALL BOOKMARKS appear to be wiped. Have NEVER had this happen in 20 years so hoping it's a simple problem such as a setting change. What's the best place to start or should I just uninstall and go to the last update which was the Firefox 137.0.2 (20250414091429) Installed on: April 15, 2025 at 7:17:18 PM?

The following update from 4/29 wiped my bookmarks. WIN PC Intel 64bit 8GB UPDATE INFO: Firefox 138.0 (20250421163656) Installed on: April 29, 2025 at 5:17:56 PM Status: The Update was successfully installed.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Connie T.

I have in the past found a list of older versions to download not so now I find that version 135.01 is the last update that seemed to work the way needed after that install the things start to happen that i don't want or need. Question where can i get older versions of firefox?

If I run Firefox 134.0.1 from the installation folder, fine, no problem. If I then attach it to the Windows 11 taskbar, when I launch it from the taskbar, it opens completely unconfigured.

This doesn't happen with other applications or browsers.

Thank you for appreciating my problem.

Dear and respected Firefox Dev Crew,

I you can say love Mozilla Firefox and have been using it for a quite long time now ,but the issue i have with her it is a pure fact that every new version that gets pushed out is worse that previous one by many things like this 138.0.4 that after installing better say updating to it was has it done it has removed all my addressees from URL address bar ,furthermore ,the ones i do not want in previous versions i was like all of us able to delete simply and effectively by pressing shift+ delete which has not been so to say debunked or non working for quite a long time and only way to delete unwanted address from URL bar is to go to History and than find that site and push forget about this site which is annoying because like previous shift + delete which just did it's job of deleting the desired address ,method of deleting unwanted addresses from the URL bar is annoying, frustrating and a glitch in code i guess because without any reason what so ever do you want it or not the deleted address space will be populated by another even more annoying and non needed site and like that in circle ,i just want my URL ADDRESS BAR to be populated with shortcuts to the site which i want and need and that is all nothing more not Firefox to be populating my address bar with everything it get his hands on which frustrates to the point of madness cause in setting Firefox has been customized to populate address bar just with the shortcuts ,but i want them to be shortcuts i want ,i will need, i will use, and i will utilize not populated by some site i visited once 1000 years ago ! Thank you very much on your guidance and listening to problems each new version brings and if someone has a suggestion on how can i stop that and get out of Firefox what i want and need it for thank you i'll will be more than grateful on your support! All The best ! And o yea for the end what is the exact number Firefox URL address bar can hold ? With respect
