Hello, Please tell me how to remove the tab on the far left of the photo. I can close tabs, but this one is permanent. It is there whenever I open up Firefox.

How did I even put it there? Thank you

In settings, Start-up, I have the box checked for: "open previous windows and tabs" but it doesn't work. In order to do my work I need the 23 tabs I currently have open to show up again after a reboot of the browser or computer. What gives? How long will it take to get this corrected? Hi, I disabled several options in About:Config, and a feature previously disappeared. When I pressed the scroll button in the diamond, it opened a tag and moved to it automatically. Whatever you do with the current tag, I want it. Please help me.

Please, I want my tab's x back no matter how many tabs are open. My monitor is very large so I can see. Looking for close tab after right click, is a problem for my eyes as I have to get up close to my monitor and then it takes too long to find the close tab. Just a few hours ago, the x disappeared, even on the tab I had open, and I didn't have as many tabs open as I usually do.

I did some looking and i found that you had changed it a long time ago but it only just affected me now (my (computer is not even a year old), even my laptop had the x on each tab (although I haven't used it in two weeks). I rely on the tab's x, especially the tab that I have open, no matter how many tabs, there is no x anymore at all, unless i have fewer than seven tabs open on my 27 monitor. I even changed the minimum tab size without result. No x on the tabs, no x on the tab I'm using. Thank you for your time spent reading this old woman's rant, i'm sorry for the bother. In fully updated Windows 10 (x64), running either 64-bit or 32-bit Firefox, the tab bar in the current Release channel of Firefox disappears. No changes have been made to the Firefox profile on my computer, including no edits in CSS, etc. (I never bother with such things). Updating to 108 and higher causes the tab bar to disappear. In 108+, a single tab appears "somewhere" at the bottom of the window (its location appears to be random), and the New Tab button ("+") is gone as well. Disabling all extensions has no effect. Reverting back to 107.0.1 (either 32-bit or 64-bit) fixes the problem. This situation has been tested several times with the same result every time. Consequently, I have edited the Firefox registry policy to disable updating so I can run 107.0.1 without constantly getting the Firefox "nag window." Any thoughts on this problem would be greatly appreciated.

As the title says, ctrl+tab simply doesn't do anything anymore for me. All the other hotkeys (ctrl+t, ctrl+1, etc.) are working normally. I haven't changed any settings or installed any extensions lately. It still doesn't work if I restart into Troubleshoot mode.

I really can't figure out what happened.

I want to know if there was any changes in recent tab cycling behavior? Now I need not press enter or click mouse button on one tab from list. Before there was instant tab changing after stop pressing keys (ctrl+tab). Greetings Kamil Tomicki

I am using FF 115.7.0 on a Mac. I normally use tabs but when I need a new window, it opens with every one of my bookmarks in a tab. I can open a subject in a new window from an article in a tab from a different window but I just can't open an empty window without getting all of my bookmarks opened in (many!) separate tabs.

I have an issue that about:config > browser.link.open_newwindow keeps setting itself to '2', so I have to repeatedly go in and reset it to '3'.

Not entirely sure what could've caused this, all I've been able to find is this here support article with another bloke having the samme issue, but what seemed to be only once.

I haven't done much in way of troubleshooting, as I'm not really sure how to go about doing that for a browser.

If I had to guess, it would be either something updating, or an extension yanking my chain, so here's the list of every extension I have installed:

I'm having this issue where sometimes, when I double-click to download a link or open a downloads item, it opens the same bookmark page instead. This is the page, and not sure if it's alphabetical, since this pages starts with an 'a' "https://authorspublish.com/#optin" Wondering how I can get this to stop changing the page I am on and opening the bookmark.

When Firefox updates, a new tab is openned upon the next start, with the new version content or patchnote. I would like to avoid this informative tab.

Is there a way to deactivate it?

Firefox 110.0 64 bit on Linux Fedora 37. Happens with my default setup and also when running with extensions disabled. Default font. English Language.

If I got to this website https://www.endesaclientes.pt/uPortal2/MyEndesa/index.html#/login, right now, it is in maintenance mode. It's tab label shows up as "Em manutenção..." when it should display "Em manutenção". In case this text field munges my text, see image of the tab, and the letters between "uten" and the final "o" are supposed to be a c with a cedilla and an a with a tilde.

Do I need to change my configuration to add the proper font in tabs?

The dot which goes back and forth on a tab while a page is loading stopped working. A page will still load but I have no idea when. I uninstalled firefox and reinstalled it that didn't work.I tried the troubleshoot mode nothing there helped.....I downloaded the latest update.....still no help....I've never seen this before and I've been using firefox since it's beginning. There's only a hourglass shaped icon in the tab now.

I was downloading Davinci Resolve on a 2021 Lenovo Laptop running Windows whatever it is, and then the software asked to restart. I said NO because I wanted to make sure all my tabs would be safe. I literally am caretaking two parents and had a BUNCH of tabs open for each of their needs and my own. I had maybe 7 browser windows open and each one had several tabs open.

Usually random updates and restarts have NEVER ever lost my browser windows or tabs. But this time? After I said DO NOT RESTART, it did a glitch anyway without restart and lost ALLLLL my tabs!!!!

I could see all the 7 windows at the taskbar but nothing was loaded on them.

For the first time there was no "restore previous session."

YES I tried to do the whole Jason restore of previous sessions, copied a folder onto my desktop, deleted the ones I was told to, and for some reason the new session updated the old session on the desktop and it all failed and now that is gone. My last hope was the ONE file that was not session updated (not "recovery," not "previous") but an "upgrade" file and when I clicked on it, I get the box that went nowhere when I tried the exe file nor save (attached screenshot). Now it has restarted too many times to restore the "previous" session.

Yes I still have my browser history BUT.........

My only hope is going through literally THOUSANDS of website history I still had but one month literally had 4000 sites (I do a lot of research). So many were important but not thousands. I have been perusing each one, one by one but WHICH could have been an OPEN TAB????

Is there ANY easy way to see which of the thousands was actually an OPEN TAB???

For a few days now this thing with the tabs is driving me crazy. When I click on some link a new tab opens, then I click on another link another tab opens. Following some instructions I went to about:config where I was asked to look for neww, then change the default from 3 to 1. That solved the issue with opening multiple tabs, but now when in gmail and I click on a link it remains in the same page and I have to keep getting back to gmail to continue reading my emails.

That was not the behavior before. When I clicked on a link in my email I was taking to a new tab. Which was OK. But then lately every time I click on something it keeps opening new tabs. This is so annoying.

What can I do to go back to the settings I had a week or more ago.

This is FRUSTRATING!!!!

In email when I click on a link

Since the last Firefox update, I've noticed an issue whenever I launch the browser. I have it set up so that I have multiple tabs open, and it's set up so that when Firefox starts up, it opens all of the previous tabs and starts me on the tab I was on when I closed the browser previously.

Now whenever I start Firefox, it opens to the last tab I was on, but said tab opens on my current homepage instead of the website that tab was on previously. I experimented by changing my homepage to "Youtube.com", picked a different open tab, closed Firefox and opened it again and sure enough, the tab was now on the Youtube page instead of what it had been previously.

Is this just a bug of the current Firefox version, or is there something in settings I can do to fix this?
