I wish to get rid of Yahoo search. It says to hit the triple bar on the right hand side of the tool bar and click settings. There are a number of options, but none of them are settings. How do I get rid of Yahoo search?
When I click on the options icon on my toolbar and then click Options or Add-ons, nothing happens, so I can't access either.

I have got this purple sign in the upper right of the browser. Every new tab I open says " your are browsing in private mode" (in dutch). So my history isn't saved. In my preferences I have UNchecked " always use privatebrowsing", and checked "remember history and downloads". And by the way I also checked 'always ask for where to keep downloads' which doesn't work anymore in this new version. Bug?

I want firefox to use that home page, not firefox.com

If I am too much of a newbie and missed the obvious, my apologies. Otherwise please help. It would be a good idea to have a list of changes to options available for new migrants to firefox because it would be gutting to revert to IE or chrome. Thank you.

I just bought a new i pod touch and an i pad. On both devices when I open the Firefox icon it has two bars that show - one says send me instructions which I have done several times with no reply and the other bar says I have a Sync Account which I have no idea if I have or not. What is strange is that eleven months ago I purchased an i phone 5s and the Firefox icon or app works perfect and opens up just like on my desktop computer. I have changed e mails since I started with Firefox and have no idea what password I used. I can't access any information without it. All e mails are being forwarded from the earthlink account to gmail .I am not a savy computer user and need help in simple terms. Thank you.

This relates to my Macbook Air (2010) running on OSX10.10.2.T Three days ago, I ok'd a Firefox refresh and when I did - my Yahoo Mail! account dropped all of its icons on the mail pages. There are programming symbols there and when I place the cursor over them, the function is defined and works but this is really slowing me down. Is this a Firefox issue or a Yahoo issue? I have been trying to get Yahoo help through their answer community but no luck there. I am at best an advanced novice - I do not program at all and primarily reolved my problems through help desks or community help.

Just updated Firefox to v. 65.0, it will no longer ask to where I want file save to. As it use to. Note that this is what I set it to do in preference for in Files and Applications section. The files are being saved to the other option "Save files to" even though I've selected always ask. Please note that I did do a launch of Firefox after confirming changes, and even a reboot of Mac OS.
