Can I set FF to ask for the Primary Password every day, or every 12 hours, and not just when I reboot? I leave my computer on and I'd like all the access to "go away" when I'm done for the day.

Thanks for your help.

I used to sign in to GMAIL with no problems - email, password, done. Now I am always told that "This device is not recognized" and that Google wants to verify that it's me. So I type in the recovery email address, and I'm in. This started within the past week or two. I'm at a loss to figure out what changed, and I'd like to avoid having to type in the extra email address. This does not happen when I use the EDGE browser, only when I use Firefox, which is why I'm directing my question to Mozilla support. I tried playing around with the settings on Google, but the problem persists. Any suggestions?

This exact same problem as question : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1286412

I was changing my banking password and Firefox offered to generate the password which I clicked on. The password was changed successfully but I was NOT asked if I want to save it or not. It seems the password change was done through an AJAX call which firefox didn't handle.

My question is: How do I get that password back?

First off thank you for looking at my issue. I have a local server that I have upgraded to a new version. Normally I would see the Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead page. I would click advanced, then Accept the Risk and Continue. Today after the upgrade I get a SEC_ERROR_REUSED_ISSUER_AND_SERIAL error. I have deleted all certificates, and authorities in Firefox, cleared cache and history, and still get this error even after a reboot of my computer. I can access the site through Edge, Internet Explorer, and Chrome so this is only happening to Firefox which is my default browser. Any thoughts on how to fix this issue?

Thank you, Austin

Hello,

I try to access localhost:4200 but firefox puts localhost:6969 in my suggestion bar so I have to write localhost:4200 every time, I did follow this https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/remove-websites-address-bar-suggestions, but it doesn't work if localhost:6969 is the first suggestion in the list, because pressing shift+delete will delete the autocompleted text from my address bar, if I type 'loc' the adress bar will add 'alhost:6969/' and pressing shift+delete will delete 'alhost:6969/' from input not the suggestion.

My question is : how can I delete the first suggestion from the address bar?

Also, google chrome has an 'x' button near every suggestion, is there an option like that?

We have just removed the "my way search" add-on from Firefox on a relative's Windows computer. The home page had suddenly changed from a blank page to "webmailworld". Has the home page changed due to a Firefox update, some setting he's changed accidentally, or should we be worried?

The concern is that the relative had recently been rung by a scam phone caller pretending to be from BT. He was persuaded to start the computer and was on it ( but only for a very for a short time) till his wife told him it was a scam - the caller hung up when he heard her in the background.

We ran a full virus scan without router plugged in, then again with it plugged in. (We also rang his bank just in case. All was ok there but they told us he'd been lucky). Seemed like nothing major had happened thank goodness but it has put us on our guard.

Today I deleted a folder containing firefox data without knowing it while making space for a windows update. Sadly firefox contains almost all password data - usually a 24 random character string. I tried to sync my device with the online account for which I know the password. BUT my email account is protected by a string known only by firefox. I can log in to my firefox account to the moment until the second verification step. Unfortunately I can't retrive my email nor reset the password for the account, which itself is a huge hub for other online accounts. If I can not access the firefox sync account I will have a lots of trouble. Is there any possibility to skip the second verification step? Or are all my passwords and accounts lost?

I followed a web link to a Reddit page - looking for answers to a code question.

The screenshot - redacted - shows Google sticking a request up to see if I want to sign into reddit as a google account user. It shows my name, email address and alternative email address from other google account.

This means either Google have been fed info to allow them to know when I can be annoyed with them butting into my private browsing. or Reddit have connected me to my google account. Either way this is a breach of privacy - enacted while using Firefox.

It seems to be a new behavior but is one that is really annoying. I am not a reddit memeber nad have been there maybe twice before in the last 6 months.

When trying to get to the help forum (which was 8 pages of clicking through the same links answering FF questions) I was presented with a form allowing me to update info and add more info to my FF account.

The possible button responses were :

   Do it now
Do it later - and we will nag eeerrr remind you to do this.

What happened to the NO Don't bug me any more button? Mozilla have removed my ability to CHOOSE to NOT ADD INFORMATION I dont want to add.

Its a nasty web trend that Mozilla seem to have picked up on: Do now, or Do later ! No is not an option.

And if someone tells me that adding MORE information is for my own good - I'll probably point out I am old enough and savvy enough to know what is good for me - not FF, not an AI and not other people who don't know me.

Is there a way to let Firefox allow me to remember the decision forever? Thanks

Hello, we have web application installed in internal network. We are using it for many years and we are installing upgrades and security updates (It is not public application so I can't give you the name). It have possibility to generate certificate request and import signed certificate so we are doing this for many years, with success. We have local Certificate Authority and of course, root and intermediate certificates are imported in FF cert store. After last App and FF update I'm receiving Security Warning (screen shots uploaded). This appears in several FF versions. Same app is 'secure' in Chrome and IE (screen shot from Chrome). How can I solve this problem?

Thanks in advance. Miodrag
