Hey, I've noticed lack of sync in audio when pausing video. What I mean:

Assumptions: - Using bluetooth headphones (tested only on airpods pro, 2 different pairs) - system MacOS 14.2.1 - Macbook Pro M1 Pro

1. Play any video with audio (vimeo, youtube, custom players) 2. Pause

Outcome: Right headphone audio stops first Left headphone audio stops after small delay

Expected outcome: Right & Left headphone audio stops at the same time

I'm quite sensitive to things like that.. maybe someone knows a fix for this or this is just Firefox bug?

While I was browsing an open tab I moved my cursor over to the Bookmarks icon and the cursor automatically enlarged itself. I expect the cursor to remain at its normal size when I hover over the bookmarks icon but instead it became larger. I cannot reproduce the error unfortunately.

Mod - please delete. I couldn't find a way to delete my question so I edited it. I had an issue but I think it's due to my Firefox being Enterprise managed. I tested the same thing on my personal laptop with Firefox and no issue.

I noticed that a couple of times when I click on an external link on a mail or a bookmarked site as icon on my mac, Firefox closes all the tabs and open that link in a new window, so I lose all the tabs and address... Sometime I have more than 30 tabs open and i't difficult to reopen all from history. What happen? Why? I can't see also the "restore last session" command into History menu. Can be fix it? Thank you.

Hi, I like to know how to transfer addresses to bookmark toolbars? I have the copy all addresses of bookmarks in the previous firefox. I transferred all, but they are in one bookmark, not in toolbars, or other bookmarks. I like to set the same as the previous bookmarks. Thank you so much for your help, Miyabi

Should I use DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials with Mozilla/Firefox? Would all of the Firefox features work the same or would DuckDuckgo replace Firefox features? If both worked together it would seem to be the best option. I would greatly appreciate some input on this.

M2 MacBook Air running macOS Ventura. When I open a website which wants access to my camera I am asked if I want to allow this. I say "Allow", and the light next to the builtin webcam turns green, but I see nothing in the camera sub-window on the webpage which was granted access. No error message, just no camera video is shown by the webpage. In the menu bar is a camera icon which I can click on and confirms I have "Allowed" camera access. Setting / Privacy / Permissions / Autoplay is set to Block Audio. I have verified the camera works with other apps (Photo Booth). How can I diagnose this?

This started recently, after I installed the latest upgrade of Firefox and the video downloader. Not happening on Safari or DuckDuckGo. I suspect they have spotted I am using Firefox and are lying about the connection problem. Any suggestions welcome. thanks!

Recently, when first logging into Facebook, the entries in my feed will just sit there and refresh for a while before finally settling in and stopping. Then when I start scrolling, I can only go so far and it starts doing it again. Rather peculiar action. Something to do with auto refresh? I don't encounter the issue when using Safari or Opera. Appreciate anything on this issue.

Everyone says my audio sounds distorted in google video chat. I had been using it for months without issue on Firefox, and then I got a new Apple computer and people started to tell me I had this issue. In order to isolate the issue I tried going on Teams Video chat and Zoom video chat and people said my audio sounded fine there. Then I opened Google Video Chat in Google Chrome and people said my audio sounded fine there too. Lately, it's only when I'm on Firefox trying to use Google Video Chat (aka Google Meet) to video chat and people say my audio sounds way too distorted to hear what I'm saying. I restarted my computer, I even checked for the latest browser, which is up to date, I can't figure out how to fix this. Sounds like a firefox issue. Any ideas?

Macbook Air, Sonoma 14.1.2, second monitor connected via hdmi. This oval purple icon showing a person in front of a screen suddenly appeared in and behind upper left hand corner of window, and is now in all my windows. (see attached image)

On my Macbook air (m1 2020 14.3.1 (23D60)) /etc/hosts is ignored by Firefox 123

i've tried multiple offered (old) solutions from stack but non work.

FAILED ATTEMPTS:

• DNS over https -> off
• network.trr.excluded-domains ... tried to add the domains in the dns over https exeptions ... didn't work either
• added the domains to network.trr.excluded-domains
• cleared cache
• restart ff
• migrating all my /etc/hosts config from multiple domains on a single line to separate lines did. Hope this helps someone.
• network.ttr.mode = 5
• sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder in the terminal

Background: I run my own server and I cannot access them over the internet if I am on the same network (rounter dissallows this) This is annoying as I cannot develop via my laptop.

/etc/hosts is changed and in the terminal all (ssh etc...) works fine.

What is the proper way of doing this these days?

Firefox does not automatically create a new empty window on startup. Neither starting from "applications" nor clicking icon in the dock

Instead once has to right click the icon then click "New Window"

Why is it that the people who "improve" products are always dickering with the look and feel to no benefit to the user? Why suddenly does a new empty window not open? Fantastic job Mozilla. It takes me an hour or so to figure out how to even get a window with the default web page URL and then I have to perform forever after three clicks instead on one.

I have a suggestion. The next time you think about changing the look and feel: DON'T. It is just that simple. DON'T.

Every time I quit FF, FF crashes, or my Mac crashes, my bookmarks either disappear entirely, or the toolbar bookmarks and/or my "Other Bookmarks" folder disappear while leaving my main "Bookmarks Menu" bookmarks. When I tried to restore from json backups, I discovered that my last one seems to be from last October. So I used Time Machine to restore my FF user profile from March 1. This works, but then I go through the cycle I just described above again ... and again. New backups of my Mac do not hold onto the bookmarks when I restore FF user profiles made after March 1.

When I try to manually back up my bookmarks or export my bookmarks to an HTML file from inside the "Manage Bookmarks" window, everything seems to work, but then when I go looking for the file I supposedly created (e.g. bookmarks-2024-03-04.json), no such file exists in the location where I saved it and searching for a file with "bookmarks" in its name yields only bookmarks from other browsers and the old bookmark backups from last October and earlier.

Hi all.

My sync is only sometimes working. I notice that when saving a bookmark and trying to find it on another device. I sometimes have to manually resync it or wait for a few days to get it shown on my other devices. Same with the tab sharing across devices.. In most cases it doesn't work at all..
