My Firefox install apparently did a background update that did not complete, I get an error 'XULRunner / Error: Platform version '129.0' is not compatible...'
I did not (do not) have a profile I had logged into for that installation, but did have many passwords saved that I'd like to still be able to use if at all possible.
I have installed another instance of Firefox that is working (on platform 129.0), and am using Windows 11. I also turned off automatic updates in hopes of preventing this in the future.
The previous profile still exists in AppData/Roaming, but I don't know how/if I can connect it to the new installation I now have.
Is it possible to either fix the incomplete update or connect my old profile to this new instance so I don't have to reset all my passwords?

After installing update 129.0.1, in the profile folder, along the path: AppData/roaming/mozilla/firefox/profiles, a folder "extensions store menus" appeared, it contains the file data.life.bin, which changes its modification date as if it was synchronized when the browser closes. I just installed an update when prompted by Firefox. Now I can't log into Hotmail.
FF 129.0.2 x64. The update restarted FF. Everything else seems to work OK. But when I go to Hotmail.com, at first it displays my Hotmail inbox - which is odd; all other webpages requiring a login were logged out when I installed the update, requiring me to log in again - but then it switches to an error:
Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later.
The Microsoft account login server has detected too many repeated authentication attempts. Please wait a moment and try again.
The same Hotmail account is still logged in and functioning on Chrome. This is why I think it's a FF-specific problem.
