As the title says, Firefox crashes exactly once per day. I always find it when I come home from work, which can be anywhere from 8 to 10 PM. It is every single day, not just occasional. More specifically, the Firefox window is missing and all that remains is the generic "Visual C++ Runtime Library" crash box.

My system is a fairly new machine. I just built it earlier this year.

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 black edition (quad core overclocked from 3.2 to 4.1 GHz) Motherboard: Asus M4A785-M RAM: 3 GB DDR2 Video: Zotac GeForce 9800 GT OS: Windows 7 Ultimate (dual boot with Debian Lenny, but the crash is just in Windows)

I know the first thing that stands out there is that overclock, but it's unrelated. I suspected it causing an issue at first, so I ran it at stock specs for 3 days. It still crashed Firefox daily. I believe the system itself is quite stable, I never have problems with other software. My FF version is up to date, although it's been doing this for the past 3 or 4 releases. The only add-ons I have installed are DownloadHelper and Flash Player, but it still crashes if I disable them.

This one's got me kind of stumped. Does anybody have any clue what could be triggering this? It doesn't matter what tabs I have open either, in case anybody was wondering. One day, just to test that I closed Firefox before I left in the morning, then opened it back up with only one tab: google.com ....... still crashed by the time I got back home.

No Firefox tool bar is displayed. I can't view anything, change anything, delete anything, or even access my favorites. I don't have a clue what happened.

how to stop advertisement hijacking firefox page , some Powered Lotu advertisment or such kind of stuff hijack my complete web page. I have always click skip on that. Just in case I missed that , then I would be taken to some other websties

Every time I go into ebay or anything that logs in the pages come out incomplete and black and white only with scattered words. I actually can't view some pages or pay things online alomost as if it was a protection then again I can't do anything. I've gone to all my preference options and I just dont know what else to try. This just started happening when I moved to my new apt, Help!!!

I'd like to know more into how private mode works. Where does the cache/cookies files go after closing firefox in private mode? Are they even saved at all? Lets say i streamed some videos over the net, that has some cache right; does private mode save the info until i close firefox, or it doesnt save it at all? Im sort of a minimalist, i like keeping my system clean and fast. I would prefer not having the files saved at all even when its in private mode...

The toolbar at the top of Firefox shows the forward/backward button, refresh button, and stop button, but all are dark gray and I can't click any of them. Its frustrating because a lot of websites I visit are updated often and a simple click of the refresh button keeps me up to date, but its not possible now.

I was uploading (or downloading, I'm not sure) a music file that was sent to me by email, and the gray box that automatically asks me if I want to download came up, and I accidentally clicked the wrong thing instead of just hitting okay. (there are two options to click - click the little bubble, and I have mine always on the first option) I don't remember what the option was, but now it asks me where to save it and when I hit iTunes, it doesn't go to my iTunes. How do I get the original "would you like to save this file" or "download now" box back?

I am using XMLHttpRequest to send data to the server, and Firefox is adding 'charser=UTF-8' to the end of the content-type header attribute. I have tried to over write the content-type by adding "mypostrequest.setRequestHeader("Content-type", "application/x-www-form-urlencoded");" But 'charser=UTF-8' is still added.

This started happening a little while ago, so I was forced to switch to Internet Explorer for a little while. Every time I open Firefox, instead of showing the web page, the location bar simply states "Search Bookmarks and History." Also, whenever I try to open another window from a link, it shows a large window with nothing it in saying the same thing in the location bar. I have a desktop computer with Firefox as well, and none of this has happened to that computer.

Recently, IRS forms will not display on my screen. I have a Mac and it used to display these forms on the screen. Could the problem be caused by a recent version of Firefox Mozilla.

The Home key doesn't move the page to the top in some pages that I visit often. It is not the Caret browsing issue. Arrows and End keys work fine but Home very often doesn't (F7 doesn't help as in Carel browsing toggle).

I'm a Mac user.

Visible window area is too small. 2" high x regular width. I am using a Macintosh and have version 3.6.6 loaded.

i've been trying to access my FB account but i keep on getting the msg "connection was reset" on firefox for example . i've tried both of my accounts , but still not working. i am able to access my account from others pcs. what can i do ??!! plz help note: i tried to disable all the plugs in and cleaned the history(cookies ...etc)

I have been having this issue for some time now and I'm about at my wits end as to what to do. All image formats save for png appear pixelated on firefox and it isn't on any particular page but it's starting to infuriate me to the point where I just want to chuck my computer out a freaking window. I've tried the about config and messing with the dither thing I've tried fixing the zoom and I've even tried updating firefox but nothing is working! Even when I try and save an image to my comp the images quality is that of crap I tell you!!!!!! But other images saved before this frustration appeared are just fine and are of the quality that firefox had once presented them. There must have been something wrong with a firefox update since none of this bull started happening till I updated it sometime around the start of June. Someone please help me and tell me what the 8888ing hell is going on here!!!!!
