Hi,

Having this issue for weeks now, I finally decided to create a ticket. I currently use Firefox Developer Edition, but it has some problem: At random times, a background process starts and begins to use an absurd amount of CPU. I have a really good CPU and this issue still occurs when I start my laptop without even unlocking it yet.

I'm thinking it has something to do with an update service, but I already tried disabling automatic updates and updated to the last version. I even deleted all add-ons, but it didn't help at all.

There is a strange folder in the installation folder named "tobedeleted", which gets automatically created. I don't think it is some virus because viruses would've aimed for Firefox and not the Developer Edition, which is a completely separate install. I didn't have this problem about 2 versions of Developer Edition earlier so I don't think it's my system config or antivirus/firewall.

The issue is very strange and annoying, I've tried reinstalling, deleting and removing leftover folders on the whole disk but the issue still persists. I even did a Firefox Refresh multiple times, but nothing seems to work.

I would be very thankful if this problem gets solved and I'd love to help you guys analyze the situation because I really like the Developer Edition. I have a lot of experience with programming and computers in general so I could do some debugging.

I want to know if there is a way to make Firefox fully load a websites content

Like the video shown, this was taken on another browser, the browser used here is Edge, I had to scroll in order for it fully load its contents and on other browsers if there is such an option of loading it'll automatically load all the websites contents without me scrolling at all such as Brave.

LastPass logs out every time I close the FIrefox desktop browser. This started about a month ago after a Firefox update. This is a real pain, since I open and close my browser all day long. I have tried several suggestions on this forum and nothing has worked so far.

when i go to Facebook i continue to get network errs and also in Facebook I keep getting something went wrong reload the page. I have disabled and deleted some add ons an even tried in trouble shoot mode and still i get it. I have tried every thing i know how even refreshed Firefox. I do not get it in Chrome and it has much of the same add ons or extensions. I tried to send a report to Facebook but you know how that goes.It is getting annoying Not sure if it Facebook and Firefox or just Facebook . But if ti is not happening in Chrome or edge that leads me to come to the conclusion it is Firefox

I tried to change the download folder for Firefox inside "settings", and Firefox showed that the change did take, even after opening and closing the program again, but trying to download a file leaves me in the old folder again, as if Firefox didn't take what it showed it took. Also, Firefox keeps crashing when I try to download to the downloads folder. Not sure why. Clearing a few items lets me download again, but then, it will crash if I dare keep going. Is there a limit to how much can be in the downloads folder aside from the C drive itself? My C drive is showing 84GB free, in the blue, not red, so what gives?

i am using a loaner laptop right now while i wait for my main laptop to be returned to me. i need my bookmarks so i downloaded the browser & went to log in. i can't find my password & apparently to reset it i lose all my bookmarks which is the ONE THING i need from firefox right now. i am fully logged into firefox on that other laptop (tho who knows now that i tried logging in on my new device). i can't risk losing all my bookmarks. i need some help here, but i couldn't even get help without creating a NEW firefox account. can someone send me a support email to reach out to?

If I use Chrome, this does not happen.

When I use Firefox, Every. Single. Time. I log into gmail, all the instructions are in Chinese. If I just log out, default is Chinese. Do I need to change my email address? Gmail is my work email, also, and it doesn't happen with that account at work, but the default browser is Chrome.

Yes, I've repeatedly changed the language back to English. I have 2-step verification for logging in. I just changed my password, closed all browsers, reset trusted devices. Did not help. If I use Mozilla Firefox, when I type in gmail.com, my email addresses are in English; everything else is Chinese.

Is there a way to ensure size & shape of page remains the same from session to session? I use my TV as a monitor and every time I open Firefox I have to manually reshape the browser to fit the screen. I'd love for it to come up the same each time.

Have not been able to log on to a few sites (all financial base: bank etc) since approx April 2023 Have done all the dirty dozen: cache/update FF/reset/ disabled ad blocks etc.) and still no luck: had to revert back (after about 10 years) to safari (ugh) scoured back in archives for similar problems but found no answer. Does anyone have any idea? (i have not upgraded my mac os 10.14.06 and require itunes to remain) Thanks

There are two different Firefox icons for saved internet pages on my computer. I am running Windows 10. One type opens normally in a new tab. The other causes all my bookmarks and home page personalised settings to be lost. If Firefox is already open, the bad one complains that Firefox is already running. I know how to recover the lost bookmarks and settings. How can I make the bad ones open like good ones? If I try to remotely open a good one resident on my wife's computer, it behaves like a bad one but it opens normally on her computer (Win 10 laptop).

All my bookmarks and favourites vanished after a semmingly normal update. I had everything there, it was the reason I wanted to keep firefox instead of using edge. Please help me!
