Hi everybody.

As already mentioned, i would like to wrap the tab-titles to more lines so i am able to display more information of the title. Unfortunately i cannot find a way to do this except the more or less poor addon "tabtweak". I have tried manipulating the style via userChrome.css but all of my efforts wont have any effect on the length/overflow of the displayed text.

Here is what i have tried so far:

/*@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* set default namespace to XUL */

.tabbrowser-tab:not([pinned]) .tab-text {

                               border: !important;
                               word-wrap: break-word !important;
                               word-break: normal !important;
                               white-space: wrap !important;
                               height: 3em !important;
                               overflow-y: visible !important;
                               overflow-x: visible !important;
                               overflow: visible !important;
                               text-overflow: visible !important;
                               display: inline-table !important;
                               max-width: none !important;}

It would be awesome if someone is able to help out here. Soultice

Firefox version: 40.0.3 OS: Win 10

Our team at Microsoft maintains a learning site which serves videos. When a user selects a video to watch, our site listens for the MetaDataLoaded event to be raised by the DOM. Once the event is raised we display the video controls that allow the user to start playing the video. The current behavior we are seeing is that the MetaDataLoaded event is either never raised by Firefox, or the event is raised minutes later. Therefore we don't display the video controls, and the user is unable to start the video.

We are not seeing this issue on IE or Chrome.

Thank you in advance for any assistance. -Cindy

We are working on a library system management software that also provides us a webapp to work. The date is auto-populated in forms in the format yyyy--mm-dd instead of the fact that the computer is setup on mm/dd/yyyy format. Is there a way we can change this or is it something that is embedded in the website. Just a note that the same thing works fine in chrome only.

I want to know is there any add-on to redirect url in mozilla firefox. In Google Chrome there is an add-on Switcheroo. I need the url switcher like this in mozilla firefox. I have already tried with redirect url add-on of mozilla. But its not redirecting correctly.

Requirements:

I need to test the localhost portal pages. But in few places the dev environment url is hard coded. I want to redirect those urls to localhost to test the changes which I made in local.

Eg redirection:

protocol://dev_hostname:dev_portnubmer/wps/portal/abcd/xyz/u!/abcd

should be redirected to

protocol://localhost:localhostPortnumber/wps/portal/abcd/xyz/u!/abcd

For this redirection in google chrome switcheroo add-on I have configured like this:-http://dev_hostname:dev_portnubmer ---> http://localhost:localhostPortnumber. The add-on changing the protocol, domain name, port number. It's not changing the rest of the url part. Its working well as I expected. But in Mozilla I need an add-on like this.

Basically I have a couple of websites I need to whitelist for the popup blocker on several computers including a Terminal Server. I can't seem to find a good way of doing this because the settings are not registry based so a GPO won't work. Now the key is to be able to modify this not only for new users but existing users as well. I really would not want to have to log into each user's account and configure this so if it's as simple as modifying a preferences file and copying that everywhere I'm ok with that.

I'm a web designer and I'm having an issue were a user who is already logged in arrives on a page which allows them to update information on their account as well as update their password with a set of Current password, New password, re-enter password fields. I'm seeing that in firefox for users with password manager information saved, the first password field filled is being auto-completed by Firefox password manager and the entry field above the password reset section is populated by the username, despite the fact this field is not for a username.

I will note that this issue only occurs when the input field directly above the password field is intentionally blank (value="").

Is there any thing I can do without altering the layout of the page so that Firefox password manager will not incorrectly insert data into this field?

We are working on development of a framework on top of Selenium. We want to expose a tool so that users can record actions on the browser. For this, we want to understand how Selenium IDE is able to get information from the controls being recorded.

We feel Selenium IDE is able to record by getting information about the controls by subscribing to the events raised by the firefox browser. Is our understand correct? If not, then we would like to the approach being used to the information from the control.

Any help is highly appreciated.

VMWare Server running SBS 2008 and Windows 2008 R2 Terminal Server 32Gb memory and 15 Users. Over the course of a few days after a reboot, 5 or so specific users experience slow response from firefox. The remaining users are unaffected.

Using the same thin client a different user can log on and have no problem. The previous user can move to a different thin client or return to the same one and the problem follows. The only solution is to reboot the Terminal server.

Since the problem seems connected to individual users, what steps can I take to locate what the cause is - i.e. how can I find the difference between the unaffected users and the affected ones?

I work for a company with over 5oo computers all working in Firefox. Firefox wants to update all of the time, or at least it asks if we’d like to update. However we need our version of Firefox to not update on its own, and furthermore we need the pop-ups to quit asking if we want to update. I know that I can go into the settings on my browser and select “Never check for updates”, which I’m assuming would prevent the automatic updates and the pop-up asking me if I want to update. What I need to know is is there a way I can login to all 500+ computers all remotely, all at once, and preferably through a server, in order to change the setting in all browsers? I should mention that only four employees have administrator login privileges to change settings and run programs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My company has x32 and x64 machines. It's VERY, VERY inconvenient when both installation files have the same name. All other well-known software developers release their installation files with DIFFERENT name. It has became GOOD PRACTICE, and what's more - THE SIGN OF A GOOD FORM to give corresponding name to different platform installators:

Google Chrome Browser: GoogleChromeStandaloneEnterprise.msi GoogleChromeStandaloneEnterprise64.msi

Firebird SQL Server: Firebird-3.0.0.32483_2_Win32.exe Firebird-3.0.0.32483_2_x64.exe

7Zip File Archiver: 7z1600.exe 7z1600-x64.exe

The Bat Mail Client: thebat_32_7-1-18.msi thebat_64_7-1-18.msi

And a lot of others. I have read the typical noncommittal answer from Firefox contributor: "Our installators are uploaded at different servers, so you can download x32 and x64 files in your different folders". It's not an answer. It's just rubbish.

PLEASE GIVE DIFFERENT NAME FOR x32 and x64 installators!!!
