Tried to find out what version of FireFox I am using but couldn't, it must be up-to-date however, my security system had me re-install Firefox about two weeks ago. Anyway, running Vista Firefox us using too much memory, freezes my system, checked Mozilla and ran a reset worked for a very short time and had to keep running it. I am currently sharing telemetry, but haven't heard anything back from that! Should I just delete Firefox and run Chrome? I wanted more security, which I was told Firefox has, but I am getting very frustrated ;)

I know s.yimg.com is a Yahoo site that apparently is used for downloading images. But as often as not, it causes the screen to freeze when I'm trying to load the Yahoo home page on Firefox. Usually I have to wait a good 2 minutes for the home page to load when this happens. It may be a Yahoo problem but is there anything within Firefox that can be adjusted to cure this? It doesn't seem to happen with other browsers.

I can easily find web pages that will drive my Windows XP system to 100% CPU usage. My Task Manager shows Firefox sucking up 97%-98% of the CPU. Then I minimize the Firefox window expecting the Firefox CPU usage to drop to near 0%. But no. Firefox continues to use nearly 100% of the CPU in activities that I cannot see ... because the Firefox window is minimized. This does not make sense to me. Everyone knows the minimized Firefox window is just servicing adWare.

Firefox freezes. I can not use it for anything. It never use to do that. It started doing that when I gave in, into installing windows 10 from window 7. However I reverted back to windows 7 because of it, but it did not get rid of the problem. I could hear my CPU processor fan speed up when it does work for a short while and its going to freeze up. I have use explore to access my email, when I can not get it into Firefox. I have to use task manager to get it off the screen. I have tried everything I know from uninstalling and reinstalling it. I have gone through internet options and deleted all pass history etc. Nothing works.
