Hi, I recently had to upgrade my Linux system and Firefox along with it. I am trying to find my bookmark properties or description or comment field with important information that is not kept anywhere else. I found a couple old questions that I thought might be related to this but again they are old:

So this is a new question as the others were locked. I tried doing what was listed in them to make a backup/export but looking at the html only shows the book mark and no other fields related to the them. The bookmark-notes add-on is 4 years old so I don't know if that would help me get my stored information. This is causing me lots of problems. Please advise.

Hi! Ever since Quantum, I haven't paid much attention to Firefox (not much of a point, is there -_-). But today, I found myself using modern Firefox again and wanted to add a keyword search bookmark. Where has the "keyword" field gone from the "Add Bookmark" dialog? Is there a way to bring it back? I found nothing promising under about:config :(

All I see when googling is guides saying I should first add a bookmark, then go to the bookmarks panel, find and select my new bookmark, edit properties, and then I'll be allowed, by Firefox's grace, to add/edit keywords. This takes all of the convenience out of the process.

Does anyone maybe know an extension that can bring the field back?

Since upgrading to Firefox 99.0.1 when I bookmark a web page into a specific folder, the URL does not appear when I open that folder. A restart of Firefox does not fix the issue.

But if I try to Bookmark the same page again, I am asked to edit it. So it must be in the folder but it is not visible! Help!

Hi I Can not remove Bookmarks. I test all usual ways but nothing happened!i first i test manage Bookmarks and select delete but it did not work... then i made my own account and nothing change... steal i can not delete bookmarks.

 Please help me.

Hello. Since I use the bookmark bar and fullscreen mode a lot, I would like to be able to see the bookmark bar in fullscreen, not on every tab, but only in a new (empty) tab, so that I can avoid disabling fullscreen to access the bookmark bar and at the same time not having any part of the interface visible unless I'm in a new tab. Thanks in advance for any reply!

I removed everything from the bookmarks menu that I don't need. Now there is a battery of separators left, consuming menu space. See attached screenshot of German Firefox version.

How to get rid of at least four of those five separators?

Also, it would be great to have all my bookmarks at the top of the menu, while all that stuff I rarely need (Show bookmark sidebar, More bookmarks, Bookmars symbol bar ...) is at the bottom. Is there an way to change that?

This problem has been reported over and over for over 3 years. Why should the solution be to turn off syncing?

In addition to preventing the problem from occurring, Firefox needs to provide a fix to eliminate duplicate bookmarks in bulk.

I want to drag a URL to a specific Bookmarks Folder I have (located in the extended bookmarks list (accessed by the double arrow at the far right) but every time I try, the extended list disappears when I try to carry the dragged URL onto it. I can't even select a bookmark in tehe extended list and drag it into a folder from there like I used to be able to do. Please help.

1. Why does Firefox create bookmark folders with just a date for a name?

2. Why does Firefox automatically save random bookmarks in these folders?

3 How do I get it to stop doing both?

I need to find out if there is a way to transfer just certain bookmarks to another computer without having to transfer the entire bookmark file. I do not need the entire bookmarks file, just certain bookmarks within the file.

Can this be done? (Without using Sync, if at all possible, please.)

Hello I have problem on my fedora workstation. When i click right button on the lowest bookmark on my list, the menu is hiding outside the screen and i can't see options.

I created a folder on my bookmarks toolbar, in there are more folder, entertainment , comparison sites etc. All were connecting up until a few days ago, now if I click on a link, it just does not connect. If I type in the search bar the site address it connects within seconds.

All my bookmarks on my toolbar vanished, even though they're still listed as being bookmarked on the toolbar, and the toolbar itself is still present. Only around 2 or 3 times have they actually shown up within the past month or so with all of the times I start up Firefox. What's the deal?

Despite i selected "always show" in the options of the menu toolbar, as indicated in many answers and guides, Mozilla keeps randomly to show or not to show (most of the times) my bookmarks in the top bar. The bookmarks are still there if i press on top on bookmarks in fact they appear, simply they are not anymore in the bar. I have reset several times to default from the options but it doesnt change anything. Any clue? Thank you

Many of my bookmarks are corrupted. They point to other websites, not the bookmarked one. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a fix? Thanks for any info/advice. George

I updated my Firefox and it deleted all of my bookmarks I followed instructions found online, however when I click "manage bookmarks", the "import and backup" tab is not there

I have forgotten my account password. What is the simplest way to restore my bookmarks and saved passwords after I change the password?

Feeling overwhelmed by the options I found listed!
