how to permanently keep the warning about closing multiple tabs?

Every so often, probably due to an unseen update, when I press the red X at the top of of a page where multiple tabs are open, to see how many tabs are open, they disappear, and the preference option to not close multiple tabs without warning (which says the # of tabs open), has to be turned back on.

How do I delete, remove, or otherwise disable that garbage "review checker" from the latest firefox update. It's useless, un-needed thing that I don't trust.

option to OPT out REMOVE/DELETE or completely DISABLE!

My Dell Laptop INSPIRON 3793 running the Firefox/Mozilla Browser when I stream in Youtube or LiveNews periodically goes into the images in the photos I uploaded here. I am compelled to do a hard restart. I have been working with Dell Technical Services and they indicate they have no history of this issue. I am running Windows 10. My system has all technical updates including current drivers . I really do NOT want to move off FireFox but I getting pressure to run another Browser and wait and see if the problem surfaces. Is there any history of this issue with this Firefox. Any help or insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Cate Brown

When I click on install Firefox 124.0.2 the following window pops up stating; Sorry, Firefox can't be installed. This version of Firefox requires Microsoft Windows 10 or newer. Please click the OK button for additional information.

Which opens up a new window giving me the following installation requirements.

Firefox System Requirements Firefox 124.0.2 Windows Operating Systems (32-bit and 64-bit)

   Windows 10 or later

Recommended Hardware

   1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster compatible processor or System on a Chip (SoC)
   1GB of RAM / 2GB of RAM for the 64-bit version
   500MB of hard drive space

As previously noted, my windows operating system and hardware meet the Firefox System Requirements.

Please let me know what needs to be done to install Firefox 124.0.2

I'm using Firefox with Google as my default search engine. When ever I try to type in the Google search box, what I am typing appears in the address bar. I want to search in the Google search box as it is at eye level for what I am doing. I have tried all sorts of ideas from the web to fix this but no joy. Does anyone know how I disable this? I was trying to troubleshoot a black screen of death issue with Windows10 that first started appearing after Firefox adopted the new Private Browsing icon. In the process of doing so, I tried every combination of Firefox settings imaginable. Nothing worked as far as Asus, Windows, or Firefox settings, rolling back/ updating various drivers, etc. So, I decided to refresh Firefox and when that did not work, I decided to uninstall and reinstall Firefox. I'm not sure if that worked as far as the original black screen of death issue is concerned because now Firefox no longer remembers my cookies and site data allowed exceptions (my only exceptions were my bank websites, which worked as expected until the uninstall/reinstall). I've tried selecting always use private browsing and always delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed (my previous settings), but every time I close Firefox and return those three exceptions are missing. Any ideas would be most welcome. BTW, does anyone know how to use that folder Firefox puts on the home screen labeled "Old Firefox Data" because I was expecting there to be a .exe file to click on to reload all the previous settings in one fell swoop.

I want certain extensions to be able to run in private windows, but not in normal windows. For example, I would browse normally without a VPN extension, and when I open a private window, the VPN extension would be enabled.

to restore "Close Tab" in the File menu, based on cor-el's response regarding restoring menu_bookmarkAllTabs here:

This stopped working some time ago and I am finally getting around to asking why.

I do have toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets set to true, and other items in userChrome.css are working.

I am using 121.0 at home and 115.0 ESR at work and see the same (i.e. no "Close Tab"), in both cases on Debian testing. I do see this menu item when using the keyboard to open the File menu.

Any idea why this no longer works?

PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR how do I get rid of this error that keeps popping up when I attempt to launch Amazon.com I have never had this happen before..... it just started about a week ago.

I have to either tab through the various fields, which is a pain, or try to move the mouse and somehow select a field, which takes me numerious tries. I'm on Windows 11. This does not happen with any other application or browser that I use. I try to use specific browsers for different types of work. I work as a Test Analyist and I reguarlly need to view websites on various pc's and os's. I've never seen this occur at work. Unfortunately for me, this is occuring on my home PC. I've tried everything I can think of, uninstalling and reinstalling, rebooting, and checking the settings for anything that would explain why this is happening. I have not found anything yet. If this keeps up, I'll have to switch to another browser.

firefox browser and after much frustrated key pounding find evidence chrome is not really deleted - help losing

Goodd day from UK I run firefox esr 115.9.1 and find the the F5 refresh key does NOT refresh the images. The same applies when using the "reload" icon in the menu.

Reading other posts, nothing seems to apply here.

There are NO add-ons at all and everything is cleared on close. The text DOES seem to change.

As a web developer checking updates this is extremely annoying as only hope is keep closing the browser (to clear everything) and restart - the loads new images etc.

I use several versions of Firefox (2, 20, 56) to ensure compatability with olf browsers and it seems to be only those over 100 with this issue.

Does anyone know if this is a "feature" or a"bug" and is there any simple (!) way around the issue?

Firefox. LinuxMint 21.3 Cinnamon 6.0.4 , Google Mail Compose, Pressing and holding the arrow key moves the cursor one character at a time. Google Chrome works fine.
