I'm not sure what is going on with Firefox the past 6 months but I'm constantly getting an access denied message like this..... "You don't have permission to access "http://www.sunglasshut.com/us" on this server. " However, when I use the Chrome Browser, the webpage loads instantly. I'm not a fan of Chrome and have supported Firefox for years. Why am I having issues with your browser?

Hello! I've always used Firefox as my default browser. Now, with Windows 11 Pro, I can't get it to stay as the default. I restart my computer, and Edge reappears. I've tried adjusting registry, gpedit, Taskschd, etc., and Edge remains the default, even for PDFs! Is there any way to change Edge?.. I don't know what else to do to set Firefox and Acrobat PDF as the default. Microsoft is forcing Edge as the default. Thank you!

FYI I was having issues signing onto my citizens online checking account and also signing onto my email account with comcast. After a while I disabled the NOSCRIPT extension which solved both issues. I believe this problem may have coincided with release 150.2

With the profile system, which I just used to try and fix another problem. Deleting them doesn't work I've tried manually deleting the profiles as well but they still show up in the UI and it just recreates the folder again if you try to delete it or open it. If you use the UI to try and delete it the instance and page it opens is simply blank. And now the profile I'm trying to delete isn't open. I'm trying to delete it from "original profile" and when I do it opens the a new instance of firefox with the profile I'm trying to delete with in the address bar: about:deleteprofile but the screen is empty.

I need to stop google from automatically searching in the address bar so I can use about.config.

No help has worked from the web. Commands suggested by users don't exist or they use circular logic. In other words I can't go to about.config and make changes because I can't get to about.config because google searches it. I have turned off everything and nothing gets rid of the google search. I can go to other searches but that doesn't help.

Hi whenever I use my Google account to sign into websites (Google, ebay, YouTube, & anyother sites,) Firefox will become unresponsive, the window containing the tab i was using becomes unresponsive, sort of. - I can't click any open Firefox Tabs, - the red 'Close' radio button is greyed-out, so I can't close any tabs or the window - right-click is unresponsive, so i can't close tabs that way, but Command-W closes the tabs normally, but the others are still unresponsive.

- i can open a new Firefox window (with &/or without Tabs,) which works normally.

- & unrelated, but earlier, Firefox was running really slowly, Youtube videos were slowed down, but audio was normal, and scrolling was slow.

Using a Mac Monterey 12.7.6 and uptodate firefox.

Trying to use "tree style tabs". I'm trying to drag and drop a tab named "CHILD" to a tab named "PARENT". Instead of appearing in the tab PARENT the CHILD tab disappears and its content is added to the PARENT tab.

I would prefer the child tab to nest within the parent tab.

Love Firefox by the way... So, autocomplete in the search bar is often helpful, don't get me wrong, but it redefines the delete/backspace key to be context-sensitive. Now, sometimes it does what I expect and backs up one, erasing the character I just typed. However when autocomplete ghost text is present, that same key removes the ghost text only, leaving the character I'm intending to remove. This is enormously inconvenient as I now must watch to see what autocomplete is doing and adjust my behavior to comply. Were I designing I would not make the delete key dual purpose context sensitive, instead I would do both at the same time! Delete what I just typed and remove the ghost text. Safari started this, I complained and of course got no response. Subsequently I noticed the same behavior in Firefox. My suggestion, request, is that search delete key behavior not be decided for me. Either make this Safari behavior a settings option, by default is OK, so that I can choose, or (my preference) delete both ghost and previous character with a single keystroke! I am currently testing the new VPN feature in Firefox. I Is noticed that Firefox always starts with this integrated VPN being off. I searched but I didn't find any way to have it always on when launching VPN. Is that possible?

Good morning. I am looking forward to the VPN service being offered for free through Mozilla. I see that the rollout has happened in the US but I haven't seen it yet. I have been using Mozilla for years and wasn't sure if the US had been fully covered yet or not. Thanks and have a good morning.

All your answers are wordy, confusing+never take into account that many users are not 15. You assume every user knows what you write. Instead of answering the question by giving a user step by step marching order, you write endless stuff giving the users a headache.

I asked ChatGPT the following questions, and as a result, I also have some questions for Firefox. Where can I get answers? I do not like the Edge browser for several reasons. Firefox, as far as I am concerned, is the best browser for my use. Due to the fact I reside in Kaliningrad I must use a VPN to access sites I used to take for granted when I lived in the Czech Republic. This morning, as usual, I tried getting connected to VeePN in my Firefox browser. As usual, it does one of the following: 1) “Something went wrong at our end.” & “try to update” or “contact us for assistance.” 2) Continuously refuses to connect, leaving with the message: “Connection Error. Can’t fetch server config.” 3) Connects very soon after opening Firefox, perhaps 5% of the time I try connecting to VeePN. This morning, I spent many attempts over the course of 2+ hours, and no connection. Sometimes I had to refresh the VeePN extension due to the immediate, continuous, fast popups of “Connection Error. Can’t fetch server config.” Then suddenly, without rhyme or reason, VeePN connected. Also, this morning I decided to test using VeePN on my Edge browser, and it immediately connected, with no hesitation. This begs the question. Is there something about Firefox that may be causing the issue? I have not changed any settings anywhere regarding WiFi or Network & Internet Settings. In addition, sometimes, when I tire of trying to get VeePN to connect in Firefox after decades of connection attempts, I will use my Browsec VPN. I have learned not to use two VPNs simultaneously, one or the other, not both. Also, it is worth mentioning that VeePN is far superior to Browsec, but that is my opinion based on how they both perform after being connected for a good period of time. I can be connected via VeePN all day and have no issues. Browsec requires regular refreshing. Either VPN, however, is affected by the internet connection and the wireless connection between my router and the dongle that sits on my desktop near my PC. Yes — based on what you described, this strongly suggests the problem is more related to Firefox itself (or the Firefox extension environment) than to your internet connection or VeePN service overall. I have added an image of all the Firefox Extensions I use, obviously, some in the list are turned off. I'm wondering if I am experiencing intended behavior or if I've stumbled upon a bug. I am sometimes downloading files in a staggered manner (i.e., waiting for files to finish downloading before I start the next file downloads). However, any file after the first in that session shows an inaccurate progress indicator in the toolbar which includes progress of the already completed downloads.

For example, if I download two files completely, then start the download of two new files and both sit at 0%, the progress bar for the downloads actually shows 50% completed (2 files at 100%, 2 files at 0% -> Average of 4 files at 50%). I can't imagine this is intended behavior, for I imagine users would like to know how their current downloads are progressing only. This behavior is only fixed when I clear previous downloads, which resets the list to only active downloads, or when I restart the browser and start a new session.

Is there a setting where I can make the indicator report only active downloads?
