So, I installed a new hard drive about a week ago and while re-installing things I also re-installed the Firefox Browser 64- bit. Strangely, it seems like the files did not install itself in the right areas or the files installed did not install themself in the right or normal places. It does work, but for some reason I don't see it's program files? Is this normal or something that happens?

Anyways, I've backed-up my bookmarks, and I am going to uninstall it, re-boot, and re-install it and see what happens I guess. Or should I uninstall Firefox and its Profile Folders also, etc, and than re-install it?

on my MS Rewards account today, for the first time, I got this message: We're unable to complete your request invalid_request: The provided value for the input parameter 'redirect_uri' is not valid. The expected value is a URI which matches a redirect URI registered for this client application.

I access this when I access MS Rewards on my FF home page: https://login.live.com/oauth20_authorize.srf?client_id=9c941f7c-a811-4e9c-8e66-29fdec50490f&scope=openid+profile+offline_access&redirect_uri=https%3a%2f%2fsnr.wus2.binguxlivesite.net%2fsignin-oidc&response_type=code&state=CfDJ8I2_1MsyeC5LgSUu2RHmXGM8NYR9tb3xmjMlREe6oQOjEfzHFEUWpw30cqkq771pzVIhypEtFqCBc5D-UODbjDQRDt7Ne1SEKfgdy46mi-No0Lg0fPe82eRxVHtS7bTdLxGl2cFchPkU66mIpnlY5isc9n0UqhWZ5NxF6a7Ikx_gpbi1EQIjk0MVXkVeq07WCNQe0p_C8ViFNBwjRIatZg245flkXtpHjlb1dPOoD1Rjd2guTfssPycFD5BeY4r-re6dmCzvZjvWH6joR2_GsNYKKlrRJQpi7DqCBdN2RqfRck6CqndCQAp0r_iYrDaOXb-ogUmUtv-BpbCu0f1So864MlUseJDGHRpvzQDe02ETlzmMmPM2QNLzYfJGii9n7jtEr9R_J_TX6NRAN93B64pA3N90YkVJ6eyK8weAOu9AIA6lbFvJ_mnfxICEEJFwhYByHH77g6hpQTOS5Tz97Kfm4Ycx0fCAA8p9BmdmnKa9-v0r-qa9D1Z-njY7BxdbQbtqWSz18Cg5FAs2EVZn8XQ&response_mode=form_post&nonce=638426827054027297.YzNjNmY1OGYtZDY0NC00YjlmLWE5OWEtZGVkYzRiYTBlYzdjN2YwYjNmMDItZDg4ZC00OTA3LTkzYmUtZTVhYmRlYWQ2NTBk&code_challenge=3yhQGg2lh3Cap_R7IDWk9-ouGYj2g3jJfujMzb3fkcw&code_challenge_method=S256&x-client-SKU=ID_NET6_0&x-client-Ver=6.23.1.0&uaid=43313cd0afae45969ebf5c46ef8d7e8d&msproxy=1&issuer=mso&tenant=consumers&ui_locales=en-US&client_info=1&epct=PAQABAAEAAAAmoFfGtYxvRrNriQdPKIZ-XC3bCyPcKLOzsZYRz6lpczJgwm6PlBpJSPyYzGTCentiNRAqqk3_W8VOgCNQVatmpG9RQvuUH4zmTt7_Iex1K6tMApLev5-gKu0UFiETGIm6xLIFOKDEtcYtFaDmIsqso_qaav6O9zUu71PdhRB8IGY8O5SdMJ5v8kG0kIZCvvYOX9A5kug5vobSGMuCqifBCEDo_7A4IUgSls89mKZptyAA&jshs=0&fl=easi2&cobrandid=03c8bbb5-2dff-4721-8261-a4ccff24c81a&lw=1#

My places.sqlite file deleted all previous history on Jan 17th at about 11:07 PM all the way back to early December of 2023. Ccleaner was last run on Jan 11th and the browser settings are set to clear cache and cookies only. The computer was showing no issues and I did not discover the lost history until I pulled up the history four days later. The history identified only the past four days when the last week was selected. The sessionstore-backups folder showed files back to January 1st. What I cannot figure out is why the places. sqlite would just clear on its own and why I cannot activate any previous sessionstore file by following the mozilla firefox instructions below.

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-restore-browsing-session-backup

I only get the landing page with the option to restore the previous session grayed out. What common reasons are there for a places.sqlite file to wipe out a block of history and why would reactivate a previous session not work? Thanks!

Hi there.

I like Firefox / Mozilla. However, Chrome wants to be my default and I want to stay with Firefox / Mozilla. When I click on a link in my email or an article with a link, Chrome takes over! It has been happening for about a week or 2, and I don't want it to happen. Do you have any ideas about how I can stop this, please?

Thanks in anticipation, Gerry Austin [email address]

Hello everyone,

i just wanted to post this here so others may find it via google. I had a problem with videos randomly playing with black borders. That was really annoying because sometimes it cut out portions of the video. But after months of trying and searching nothing came out, except the "fullscreen black border 'api-config' fix" wich didn't help me. And now finally I figured it out! It was my damn AMD driver...! It was set to "Home Video" in "Audio and Video", wich enabled "AMD video stabilization".

So in quick summary: When you have black borders while watching video in Firefox; make sure in your AMD-driver, in "Audio and Video", "AMD video stabilization" is turned off!.

Hope this helps someone, bye :-).

I'm currently looking for a job, and I keep my windows separated by category, so I have one that is job search related, and the other that is more general. In my job search window, I have many tabs open for different job postings that I want to hang on to /keep track of. When I want to jump to one of these tabs, I open a new tab and type in whatever its title would be, and then when it pops up in my history I click the "Switch to tab" shortcut to get to it. I find it saves time as opposed to sifting through 50 tabs. In this case, I was trying to find a tab that was opened to a sales job posting, and I clicked switch to tab. However, it took me to a what I think is an entirely separate window, one that I didn't even have open previously, and my jobs window disappeared. I tried to reopen it in History, but it didn't show up. Does anyone know what might have happened here, and how I can recover that window?

I am having icloud calendar issues in the firefox browser. Recently apple changed some of how their calendar looks in a browser. At the same time I began noticing icloud calendar events are getting messed up in firefox. Events from the day before are often missing. Events on the current day are 5 hours later. However, if in another browser, like Brave & Chrome, the calendar events are correct. I prefer to use Firefox. If you have any helps for adjusting things on my end please let me know: bygrase@gmail.com. Thanks, Cliff
