The instructions for "Simplify Page" say that "if it is available for this page, the Reader View icon appears in the URL bar." (That may not be an exact quote!) My issue is that it is "available" on considerably fewer pages than before. I can still use it once in a while, but I am not pleased at the reduced value of this feature. Is there a way to get more pages to work?

The archive post "How can I stop Firefox toolbar popping up when mouse is at top of screen in full-screen mode (without kiosk mode, please)? " is top hit in searches. The solution is no longer exact for Release 85.

The code snippet should be amended to remove the XUL namespace which now renders the CSS ineffective. Quite simply,

  1. fullscr-toggler { display:none !important; }

Is sufficient. See https://www.userchrome.org/adding-style-recipes-userchrome-css.html for guidance on using namespaces with customisations.

Is there an option for something similar in Firefox?

Dark mode is for nights, right? When we don't want much lights on screen, when I enable dark theme in themes and enable third party extension like dark reader it should be ok but there is a problem, 1 or couple seconds before loading web pages the screen is white and it bother my eyes and its makes dark theme and all extensions useless. I tried changing colors in options too, but thoses white screens before loading pages is the same. is there any way to change it to gray or black on about:config settings? In microsoft edge they don't have this problem but I want to stay with firefox, thanks

Every search seems to deal with the toolbar. My issue is at the very top, above where the tabs are. (see screenshot)

I got a Fitbit. Now there is a fitbit icon up there and I don't know how to remove it. Same with the Malware Bytes one; I removed that program eons ago but the stupid icon remains.

Anyone know how to get rid of those little guys up there if I don't want them. (I do like the time machine, battery, and others)

I am using a second profile at times. But, I noticed when I do and I view my bookmarks, the icon to the left of a given bookmark doesn't have any color or specific icon designation like it does with my original profile. Seeing a specific color and designation with the specific bookmark makes it easier to quickly spot, which I suspect was the reason in the first place for Firefox to do so? How can I get the bookmarks in my second profile to have those colored icons that my original bookmarks do? Thank you.

Currently I am using Firefox 85.0.2 (64-bit) window version. The Captchas verification always appear on the Google Form submission when I use Firefox. When I use Chrome the Google Form submit without any Captchas verifcation. FYI, I reset by clearing "EverThing" on Firefox before filling the Google Form but the Captchas will appear.

Can someone give me some guidance on the work around. Thanks

I'm running Firefox on Ubuntu focal on xfce4 running in a chroot environment on an ARM Chromebook. I installed from the repo using apt. My problem is I'll open Firefox and it will run for anywhere from ten seconds to two minutes and suddenly it closes. I've updated everything, ran it from the CLI, everything I could think of to fix it and yet I still have the problem. Any suggestions?
