Hi,

I have a lot of Bookmarks. Therefore I sorted them into folders, deleted a lot .... But after the sync with my account all the changes disapeared: The bookmarks are not sorted, the deleted bookmarks are still in the list.

I did it a serveral times ... no change ...

What do I do wrong?

Can Bookmark folders get sorted automatically so that they appear withing the context of all sorted bookmarks, rather than at the top? (I mean within the context of a bookmarked folder.) For example, suppose I have a Bookmarks Folder called Folder A. Its contents look like: Folder Folder Bookmark Bookmark...

But what i want is: Bookmark Bookmark Folder Bookmark Folder (Alpha order assumed.) I want them strictly alpha, regardless of file/folder property, as displayed in 'ls -l'. Having to do this manually is annoying.

Trying to maintain a large Bookmarks list curated over a couple of decades and formerly managed in Xmarks.

Please help clarify: What is the relationship between Bookmarks Menu, Bookmarks Toolbar and Library view?

How can I create a single nested folder structure that will sync consistently via Firefox and across browsers and OS? Presently a regular user of multiple OS and both Firefox & Chrome browsers.

Have so far used "Bookmark Dupes" to dedup & remove empty folders. However I am getting "echoes" in the folder structure after deduplicating and manually reorganizing: Should Bookmarks Menu or Bookmarks Toolbar be the top level to build an exportable tree?

I am under the impression malicious activity has taken place regarding my bookmarks. Various folders are missing saved webpages but empty folder still existing proving I'm not losing my mind. I have a saved html copy as of December 1 but nothing current to date. I am wondering how to find copies so I dont have to manually edit to verify whats missing. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Is there any way to:

- give Bookmark sub-menus a custom foreground (or background) colour, or give the sub-menu perimiter a colour

- AND / OR -

- dispklay Bookmark sub-menus so that they do not site on top of other (grand) parent bookmarks.

I have attached a screen shot, which shows the difficulty. I am partially sighted.

For years, I have been using cntrl shift b to display all of the bookmarks. With the most recent update, that has changed to cntrl shift o and b is used to display/hide the bookmarks toolbar. 1.) I don't want the bookmarks toolbar - I see it as a waste of screen space. 2.) cntrl shift b is an easy one handed operation. cntrl shft o is not.

How do I lose the toolbar? How do I get the shortcut back the way it was?

Hello. Always the shortcut for "Show all bookmarks" was Ctrl+Shift+B, if im not wrong mozilla did an update and now this combination shows/hide bookmarks bar and the shortcut for "Show all bookmarks" is Ctrl+Shift+O. Which is not comfortable for me. So i want to change this 2 shortcuts: "Show all bookmarks" to Ctrl+Shift+B again and show/hide bookmark bar to Ctrl+Shift+O which one im never using ;p Plz help me

I asked for help 2 days ago when I joined the Firefox help community. My old PC crashed and now I have a replacement PC. I can not find my old Yahoo bookmark folders when I check my mail. Can someone help me with this.

Hello. I lost my PC. Bought a new one. Long time Firefox user. Installed firebox on new PC. The bookmarks Toolbar that came up was very old and not the latest version. I really need this version. My PC is Windows 10, 64 bit, Fire fox version 83. This was downloaded automatically. The last date I remember this tool bar working was Oct. 20, 2020. Please help.

Basically, I would like to reset my Bookmark Toolbar to what is was on Oct. 20, 2020.

My wife and I have separate profiles on our browser. I switching back and forth, I accidentally synced my profile to hers and it appears she lost all of her data, bookmarks, history, etc,. Is there any possible way to get that information back?

What possible reason could they have that is good enough to change the open bookmarks shortcut from Cmd+shift+b??? Who on earth needs a shortcut to show/hide the bookmarks toolbar???

Hi, Firefox update 84 ,(for mac), has limited/disabled the function of my Bookmarks widget on the toolbar. Normally when I bookmark, a menu of folders is presented so I can file appropriately. After the update, the bookmark is dropped automatically into the "Other" section without allowing me to direct it to the correct file, and which I must then find and manually file. This adds an entire extra tedious step and I wonder is it a bug or some other incompatibility? Thank you.

If it didn't crash, would bookmark data be retrievable - because I certainly are unable to. I've been trying for months from my regular desktop. Google's clearly strong-arming for market dominance by dragging their feet on this broken bookmark export.

What I've found works is logging in from another computer, syncing chrome acc and there I can export complete bookmark list. However, now I'm being restricted from logging into Chrome accounts with: error 400. Despite owning a pixel which is my 2FA!! Suddenly neither 2FA nor 3FA is adequate to fix error: 400 lmao

I think we need a plan to put public pressure on Google to allow individuals to access their curated bookmark data. That would require a Change.org and advertising money.

I had to wipe my pc , so backup and download the bookmark from firefox and it was a CSV File where all my bookmarks went on to. Now trying to upload this file from my desktop to the bookmark on firefox. when i press these little ... dots a list comes down and the button to upload is in grey not black, and when i put my mouse over it does not work, now i'm lockout. Sure i am still login into firefox but there is now way to upload this CSV file.

Please Help ??

Suddenly my bookmarks automatically puts all my bookmarks in one file instead of letting me select the file. 

Now I have to open all bookmarks and select the file which is a real bother. It use to offer me the file selection screen when I bookmarked a link now it just send everything to other bookmarks Can I please go back to the old way, it was much faster - thanks for your help John

I'm using on multiple devices, at different locations. I bookmarked frequently accessed sites, but some of these sites are location dependent (i.e. available only inside certain networks). Is there a way to show these bookmarks only on relevant devices, and hiding them on others?

If not, is this feature interesting to other people as well?
