II'm using Win 10 Pro and am having an issue with adding new FF profiles.

I have a shortcut icon in the (bottom) Win 10 taskbar. I've created new FF profiles with unique names and paths, etc. But when I open FF as one of those profiles the open window(s) "attach" to an icon / shortcut in the taskbar, even tho' that icon / shortcut has a completely different target (i.e., path for starting FF).

I don't want windows from Profile New 1 or Profile New 2 to look as if they are for Profile Icon_in_the_Taskbar.

I hope this makes sense. I've created profiles in the past and didn't run into this problem so perhaps it's me. But I also don't believe I'm doing anything different than before.

I use Spanish/English dictionaries. I also use Web sites in English and in Spanish. I want spellcheck to detect the language and enable the proper spell check. I always had that ability in Safari, for example.

I keep getting promts to update firefox to the latest version about every 10 days, why is this? or could it be a scam? I find it unusual to get so many prompts popping up quite regularly to upate firefox, most other programes that I run on my win pc don't do this

I have firefox for browser and when I open my browser to google. In website has google I type and go's to the top of firefox browser instead google search engine. Please help I want to search in the google search engine. Not firefox browser search engine. Thank you

Firefox will NOT LET ME assign a downloads folder, and doesn't ever ask where to save (though that IS checked). There is NOTHING the support base or community I can find addressing this. It tells you to check "ask" and or to assign a downloads folder. Well, I Have checked "ask" and it doesn't ask. And it will not let me select a downloads folder.

And all downloads "fail." So I cannot use Firefox io download anything.

This is a bug. The settings do not work.

I have updated to latest version, this has been the case thru multiple versions. I am using a M1 Macbook pro with Monterey OS.

In order to view a PDF, I cannot just open it, I must download it. I tried the solution offered by Jefferson Scher and it didn't work. I'm using the latest version 119 of Mozilla which I downloaded today. 10/26/23

All of a sudden FF is refusing to resolve web sites I've been using for years, like Reddit and my ISP (iinet). All of a sudden they've all got bad certificates (SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER). It can't be right, I'm not talking about a lot of sites, all at once, all at the same time. Something is broken.

For example, https://webmail.iinet.net.au/ is not dodgy, it's my ISP (part of the TPG group, second biggest in Australia, been around for many years). And since I can't access email I won't necessarily know when you've responded.

Once Firefox was updated to the latest version nothing worked anymore.

No changes to the Settings were saved. Keeps loading the Mozilla page even after I changed to google.ca. Rebooted, restart the browser, etc. Nothing works. Changing the security settings restart the browser then it won't connect to the web.

Everything worked perfectly with the previous version. As soon as it upgraded nothing worked properly anymore.

Tried to go back to 118 but it keeps updating.

Using a very old version right now to be able to connect (56.0.2) and told it NOT to update.

I've been noticing a consistent issue specifically with Firefox causing my mac to black screen/shutdown involuntarily.

It happens specifically when I use the zoom-in function on firefox web pages (the pinch zoom).

Other times when it doesn't black screen, firefox would sometimes have this pixelated appearance (basically random squares interspersed around a web page at times) after I try zooming in.

Anything I could do to help prevent this problem?

Like the title says, certain part of UI, including text fields, are displaying the font shown in the screenshot I added. I tried disabling add-ons and updating the app, but neither worked.

Every birthday I reset my pc too have a nice fresh start. well today I reset my pc and I went to login in and the password is wrong I don't know why it is but it is. I did sign in through google and that worked but it wont let me get back all my stuff without the password (even though im signed in through google?) please help

get663.com Loads randomly on the browser. I delete it and it returns on a random basis. Is there a way to prevent it reinstalling? I have to remove it 10-15 times a day. Thanks, Andy W.

Recently, in the past month or so, I have been having issues with my VPN addon Private Internet Access, my email provider Shortwave, and loading numerous websites. I tried troubleshooting it for a few weeks individually but it took a full Firefox refresh last week to get things working again. And it took only another week for everything to stop working again. The images in my emails are no longer loading (same issue as before), but they load in Gmail and I can download the emails properly, my VPN addon crashes and can't stay logged in same as before, and websites such as Nextdoor (I hate the drama but love the free goods) won't load the items for sale same as before.

I don't want to have to refresh every week, especially since I this is the computer I use for work and the amount of things I have to log back into is insane.

Firefox displays weird characters in text when some pages are loaded. This appears to happen with Helvetica font and maybe some others. The problem seems to go away when firefox is launched in safe mode, and does not occur in other browsers. After a little digging I found when I turn hardware acceleration off the problem seems to fix itself. I'd rather not operate firefox with this option off, and I have a relatively new mac so this shouldn't be an issue. Is there a better way to solve this problem? Attached are pictures of the issue when hardware acceleration is on. As you can see, there are weird characters that display on the right.

One of the best things about Firefox is that i could use other fonts on the website and now I can't. Just stuck with this crappy one.. or tell me how to change it as I have tried..

After opening Firefox and then minimizing/closing it, there is a corner of an advertising page remaining visible on lower right of home screen. Normally an ad for something like Norton or similar. Can be eliminated by right click on title bar. How do I keep it from appearing.
