I have the newest iMac since yesterday. MacOs Catalina 10.15.6 The colours in Firefox are since then way too saturated. There is a big difference with for example Safari. How can I fix this? I understand that I should disable color management, but I have no idea how or where? (I am not a computer wizz, rather a dummy, so no complicated solutions please.)

I've been using New Tab Override for quite some time to ensure that when I open a new tab, my Google home page opens with the tab.

Up until Firefox 80.0, the cursor would land on the Google search bar in the middle of the screen but now it lands in the URL field - most annoying.

Any ideas?

I have Firefox set to always open Google.com when a new tab is opened. Before yesterday's update (Aug 27, 2020) the cursor would appear in the Google search bar on opening a new tab, which is the way I want it. After the update, Google still opens as before, but the cursor is at the from of the address bar instead of the Google search bar. I've tried a couple of things to fix this with no luck. What should I do?

A single process of Firefox has as much as 90% CPU usage. There are no extensions installed. Cleared all the site data and history. And FF's task manager shows nothing. The weird thing is, if I end this process nothing happens to Firefox, tabs are as it is as I left them. What's the problem? I am using Firefox 80.0 (x64) on windows 10 Home with Ryzen 5 3550H.

So nice that Firefox is now part of the cancel culture. Since that is now the case, I suggest you change your name, Firefox, to Firechicken. Fox is a sexist term for a particular type of woman. I'm sure you wouldn't want to put women into a particular category! I expect we'll see a the new name and logo any day now.

It does not matter how many times I change this setting in preferences to "Open in Firefox" I still get this pop-up every time I click a pdf.

It also does not matter how many times I select "open with preview" and click "Do this automatically for files..." box. Every time I click the next pdf the same thing pops up!?!?!?!

And additionally no matter my selection I make ends up leading to a pdf being downloaded automatically.

This is beyond frustrating. Please help.

Firefox refuses to visit https://discordapp.com, complaining about SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER. Upon inspection of the certificates, the root CA is "COMODO ECC Certification Authority" - Serial Number 16:E5:86:78:E0:70:94:39:4B:DF:DB:4E:FC:A6:3B:DF.

The Firefox certificate manager contains a trusted entry for "COMODO ECC Certification Authority", however it is a different cert with serial number 1F:47:AF:AA:62:00:70:50:54:4C:01:9E:9B:63:99:2A.

I'm wondering what's the cause of this situation? Did Comodo recently change certificates? Can somebody else check which version of the "COMODO ECC Certification Authority" is shipped with their FF?

Haven't been able to stay signed into online accounts like YouTube and Google accounts when I restart Fifrefox. The reason I am going to the trouble to post about it is because it used to work no issue. It gets me thinking if Google must have changed something in their policies recently to make this so difficult, like it just denies Firefox's anti-tracking features and stuff.

Here's what I already tried doing: First turn off cookie auto delete for a sec, then see if Fifrefox is deleting the cookies I need in settings. Then finally, check to see if enhanced tracking is deleting the cookie (so I disabled it for Youtube and accounts.google.com for the time-being.) Still no luck with staying signed in after all those tweaks.

Last you might be thinking that this may have somethiing to due with Enhanced Tracking Protection (ETP) 2.0 in the recent FIrefox update but the thing is, I started having this issue before the new update. I've scoured the settings in Firefox and am out of ideas. Perhaps somebody who is more familiar with the settings could point me in the right direction?

There is only one last thing to mention: I do use DNS over HTTPS with a custom provider. Is it at all possible this brings complications with it? Maybe I didn't have the right idea about it when I added it.
